I know the Flames wanted to get smaller and more skilled but I hope we aren't seeing a team of Hemsky's here constantly injured.

If Baertschi doesn't play 25 games this year, he can still win the Calder next year...

Just sayin...

He's doing it again:

Roger Millions@RogMillions
Seems a little weird. Jarome mentioned Sven's groin injury in his scrum. Yet the team has said hip flexor. Perhaps its both. Yikes!

Why could a scrum not have caused a hip flexor?

Jarome said Sven had a groin injury in his media scrum this morning. Not hip flexor.

I read "scrum" as something TOTALLY different for a second...quite glad I was wrong.

Jarome's probably not perfectly up to date with injury details.

that hate on for fourth liners on this site is amazing to me ...

they are fourth liners!

6-7 dmen and 12-13 forwards are going to make mistakes, shoot the puck wide, take the puck in and not create a whole lot.

if they didn't they'd be too expensive to play on the fourth line!

Jesus

I've been saying the same thing every year since Chris Clark came under fire

Stajan injures Sven by carving a rut in the ice ... Comeau cross checks Cervenka in the head to take his spot ... we are DOOMED.

All I want from my fourth liners is to skate the puck behind the opposition net and then hold the puck against the boards with their skate for 45 seconds.

Is that too much to ask?!

So, Millions is trying to make this out to be some kind of conspiracy?

I'd say it's more likely that Jarome asked Sven if he tweaked his knee, Sven said no and pointed at his hip flexor and Jarome assumed it was a groin injury.

I know we all think Jarome can do anything, but I'm sure he's not a doctor.

What 4th liners are you talking about that fans are ragging on? The only player I've seen in this thread getting ragged on is Comeau and he's not good enough to be compared to 12-13 NHL forwards.

Maybe just maybe, Comeau will start hitting the other team now that he has his confidence up in hitting Cervenka. We can only Dream!!

Here's how it plays out.

2 weeks in the press box watching the team play.

Feaster announces Baertschi will spend 2 weeks on a conditioning stint in the AHL.

By the time he's ready to come back and play they will know a lot better if they are playoff bound or lottery selecting in the draft.

To me I think they are terrified to bench him due to the negative flack they are going to take especially when Iginla fails to score even 10 goals this year.

All of the hockey analysts that were watching the practice said they saw nothing at all. He skated off the ice fine.

Yes, that's what was said. He fell awkwardly in the corner and limped off.

It was all part of Feaster's master plan.

Somebody shot Sven in the hip flexor with a pellet gun from the icy knoll!

I can't believe you seriously believe this. I mean, really? The Flames (or maybe the Owners...ooohhhhhhh, not the big bad owners!) told Sven to go out in practice, fake an injury and lie to the media just so they can send him down to the AHL for two weeks? Get a grip, the team doesn't give a crap about what any of us think - not that that is a bad thing, it is their money and jobs on the line.

Winning games is the only thing that really matters, and the guys that paid lots of money to make that decision make that decision. Not a bunch of guys on CP, or reporters. If sending Sven to the AHL helps the team win, they do it. If playing him helps them win, they do it. Good grief.
