PeteL should go and buy a Clippers jersey. The Lakers are horrible. Losing to the Bobcats, THE BOBCATS! Shame, i actually wanted to see Kobe win #6 and Nash win a championship. It ain't happening.

Well all it took was 3 or 4 non-calls for the Lakers to win against the mighty Bobcats.
Watch out league the mighty Lakers are ready to roll.

What act?
They are a sub .500 team relying on a 38 year old with a crap back and now bad legs on saving their season against teams that are much better.
They have 0 defense, a guy who can't hit a FT to save his life and are reliant on a ball hog who can't do what he used to do.
But YOU'RE right it is my act that is getting old and not your BS Laker homer act.

Not quite sure what this garbage post means but if you are laughing about the reigning NBA champs then have fun with that.
I have plenty of complaints about my posting but this is the first bandwagoning accusation I have had. So good for you for trying to toss that in there.

As much as moon can be downright annoying at times, he is bang on when he says the Lakers are a garbage team. Looking at their schedule over the next 10 games. I could easily see them losing seven or eight of them. They play the following in that stretch, at Golden State; play at Denver, at home vs. Denver, at home vs NY Knicks, at home vs. Portland, at home vs Philadelphia, at Houston, at San Antonio, and at Oklahoma City.

Moon's hate of everything Kobe is a little over the top, but come on Pete, when you look at this team and even fully healthy, are you seriously of the opinion they are going to beat 4 of the following 5 teams in a row to win the title: OKC, San Antonio, Memphis, the Clippers or the Heat? I'm sorry but its not going to happen. Unless you're suggesting all of those teams aren't better than the Lakers which is ridiculous. They're better, deeper, younger.
Remember Kobe's age isn't a factor right now, but come March and April (especially with how much he's carrying this team right now) the signs will be there. Nash is showing how much he misses that incredible Phoenix training staff and will maybe play 45 games this season, and Gasol is slidding downhill. With Dwight being the most immature player in the league, are you really pinning your hopes on him somehow turning it on? Unfortunetly the Lakers have the worst bench in the league, and the oldest starting lineup too. Just not gonna happen Pete, but hey celebrate beating the Bobcats like its a playoff win, cause there won't be many of those this year (if any)

Not sure how San Antonio is younger faster and deeper, but ok.
Ill respond to the last two posts, as there is no point responding to moon, when he calms things crap and posts like a 12 year old.
I'm not sure what the training staff has to do with Nash's injury. It's not his back that's the issue, it's his leg. By all accounts the lakers staff is one of the best in the league, they have Kobe playing like he's 24.
Like I said ill reserve judgment until Nash is back as this offense is bout for him to run. Right now guys that shouldn't handle are handling the ball causing turnovers, and no team can turn it over that much and win. Transition defense is the issue. Once Nash is back he will be the one creating which will lead to less turnovers and more half court sets on defense.
Right now it looks like gasol will sub in for Howard a lot more as well with Kobe and Meeks on the wings and MWP playing the 4. This D'Antoni offense will take a while to get adjusted too.

Well that seals it. You do realize San Antonio's bench almost beat Miami's starters right? I mean be a homer and all, just don't be a delusional homer. The Lakers bench would lose something in the area of 145-68 if they played the Heat. And San Antonio, well Duncan and Ginobli are old (though Duncan younger than Nash and Ginobli only one year older than Kobe), but Parker is younger than Gasol and the rest of San Antonio's team is younger than people think. San Antonio has 5 players under 25, the Lakers 4. So yeah, the Lakers are older.
And again, who gives a #### about their offense? If they are the greatest offensive juggernaut in NBA history and average 130 a game, who cares if they're allowing 131 a game? Nash will be thouroughly humiliated by Westbrook, Parker, Paul and Conley. Gasol and Howard can't stop Gasol and Randolph, or Blake and Jordan, or Duncan and Splitter. The Lakers won't win it all this year without Stern interceding (and with this being his last Finals, I wouldn't put it past him).

Did you read my post? Where did I say the offense needs to be better? All I says us with Nash back the offense will be more efficient with less turnovers. Turnovers and transition defense go hand in hand, that's the issue right now. I've stressed this point numerous times yet you're making things up.
A more efficient offense with less turnovers will lead to more half court sets on defense. Half court D has been fine.
I'm not worried about thiago splitter. When push comes to shove gasol and Howard will do what's needed. Howard is the best defensive player in the NBA, and once he regains his form interior defense will be fine.

How can you say with a straight face that Dwight Howard is the best defensive player in the league? I assume you believe Kobe is 2nd and Ron Ron is 3rd. You do know that the Lakers last year, without Dwight, were higher ranked defensively than they are now with Dwight yes? Or does Dwight need to have Steve Nash around to make the defense go?

Dwight Howard is the best defensive player in the NBA 3x defensive player of the year, how hard is that to understand.
You're obviously having a great deal of difficulty comprehending what I wrote, so I think it's best we stop.

The Magic are only averaging one point more allowed per game without Howard, while the Lakers are averaging 3 more points allowed per game with Dwight. Dwight's defensive greatness is superemely overrated, he got fat against the cupcake Eastern Conference. Now he's in the conference that has twice as many good teams and lo and behold his defensive greatness appears overrated. If Dwight was the best defensive player in the league the Magic would be much worse off defensively and the Lakers would be improved over last year. Neither are true.
And 3x defensive player of the year? So? If you're going there Steve Nash is better than Kobe, no? (2 MVPs to 1). And LeBron is much better than Kobe if awards are the tale of a players greatness. This is the point where you say rings, and I say Robert Horry has more than Kobe, are you saying he's better? Dwight is a good defensive player, but not the best in the league. LeBron is a better defender, though you'd never admit it.

I'm sorry but awards don't tell the full story. Look at the 05-06 season. Nash won the MVP award but Kobe was clearly the best player in the game at that time. He averaged 35.4 ppg that year, carried that weak supporting cast to the playoffs and put up some of the greatest scoring performances in NBA history that year and yet he finished 3rd in MVP voting. Lebron right now i would say is a better defender than Dwight is.
