Honestly, cancer, or some type of life threatening disease.
I am not really scared of dieing, I don't want to die but I am not afraid too.
I just don't look forward to the deflating. The slow death, and having all those around you feel sorry for you while you lose mobility and spirit. Just a horrible feeling from the outside, and I imagine its ten times as bad from the inside.
Also spiders and scary movies, I can't watch scary movies.

Ever since watching one of the An Evening with Kevin Smith movies where he talked about his issue with an anal fissure and how painful it was, I'm terrified it's going to happen to me. It just sounded so awful.
Mine would be falling down the stairs. Anytime, I'm on a staircase, I envision myself falling down and breaking my neck or breaking enough bones to render me immobile at the bottom of the stairs, incapable of helping myself.
Splinters. I am pretty convinced I'm going to get one and miss it and it will go into my blood stream and kill me.
Teeth falling out has been mentioned, I have that same fear.
Drowning is definitely another. When I was younger, my brother dared me to swim through the rungs of the ladder in our pool and I got caught up in it for a few moments. Freaked me right out.
I'm surprised at the number of people mentioning sharks. I find them utterly fascinating and would love to go shark diving at some point in my life.

Heights. I can't stand on a 6 ft platform without getting scared. I can't go more than four or five steps up a ladder without feeling flush.
I'm 23 and I still think there's someone waiting for me when I walk into a dark room and turn the light on.
Cancer from cell phones. I hate when I have to go somewhere and have my cellphone in my pocket. All I can think of is ball cancer.
Drowning. I almost died swimming to the bottom of the deep end at the Cranbrook public pool trying to retrieve one of those stupid blue rubber rings.
The uncertainty of what's in the middle of a deep lake.
I think that's it.

I'm terrified of snakes, but Daboia snakes or Russell's vipers are especially frightening. They are common asian snakes that are regularly found near human settlements and they are very likely to bite if disturbed.

Assuming you don't die, you may look forward to necrosis... gross.

being on a ladder that's 10' off the ground scares the holy hell out of me.
Needles make my BP go from 115/75 and skyrockets it and BPM of 55 to 140 just at the thought of getting blood drawn or getting a shot

Heights. I get very uncomfortable when dealing with them.
Also the idea of dying and not being around to see whats next. I have a re occuring dream where I can see my own tombstone and the world around it is moving in fast forward. It always wakes me up in a panic.

Yes, sharks are beautiful, Eastern Girl.
And I am the idiot who goes around hoping to see a coral snake, cottonmouth, etc.
My only fear of alligators is accidentally bopping one on the head when we're out on the water. Some idiots have decided feeding gators is a briliant idea, so there are areas where they have little fear of humans.
I wish Florida would be more aggressive in discouraging this. South Carolina is always publicizing its "A Fed Gator is a Dead Gator" campaign. But I think there is a higher percentage of actual southerners there who have more of an understanding of them than all these Yankees here haha.

I remember coming home from Highschool in 02 and I hear a loud bang and run to the back of the house and the wildlife folks killed a gator that was in our pond the people next door decided to feed. This was in Ft. Myers

Pierre "Monster" McGuire said it already. The middle of a deep lake. Heck, lakes in general scare me. If I can't see my feet in the water it's time to get out. You never know what's in those things. Could be piranhas, could be pickerels.

Being buried alive is what scares me more than anything. I sweat when I see it in a tv show or movie then have nightmares for up to a week afterwards.

Turbulance when flying.
It started in HS when I went on a school sponsered trip to London. It was also my first time ever on a plane and i'm quite nervous about the whole thing. The morning we were to fly home they had mechanical problems with 2 of the engines. Airline needs the day to do repairs so they decide to rent a bus sending us down to Brighton for the day. That night we board the plane for our flight home to Calgary.
Halfway over the Atlantic i'm sound asleep in my seat. We hit a really bad patch of turbulance that jolts me awake. My first groggy thought is engine failure and I start to have a panic attack. The teacher sitting beside me calms me down and reassures me it was only turbulance. Since that time I always get quite anxious whenever there is turbulance and refuse to sleep while flying.

Me too, yet I have no problem with heights when I'm on a balcony, observation deck (including glass floors), or airplanes. I think it may be more about being on a ladder than anything else.
