Too much publicity for this wormy fellow.
They should torture him and get info on other crimes he has committed.
Then quietly execute him.
Bury him in the Ocean just like bin Laden

Should the punishment fit the crime and the authorities mail him back to Canada in his suitcase?

^^^ Justice should be the removal of all of his limbs from the joints downward. May as well surgically attach a sock down his throat too just to shut him up. This guy irritates me that much.

Some articles refer to him as "cannibal" killer or something along those lines. Is that some weird porn he did in the past, or does the murder video show him eating the victim?

Everything about him screams attention whore. I wouldn't be surprised if getting caught was part of the plan. He's going to revel in the spectacle of the trial, no doubt.

the video showed him eating part of the victim.
I can't be sure because there's no way I'm watching the video.

Was certainly fast than I thought it would be. Guy is terrible at being a fugitive. Obviously the best way to avoid capture is to hang around the largest cities in Europe with the most media exposure.

Of course he wanted to get caught. He was obssesed with being famous, and now he's infamous. No doubt his trial here will be a total gong show, or he'll pull some sort of crazy defence and then knowing our justice system who knows what could happen?

There's no way he'll win an insanity plea. You don't give our system enough credit. He'll get exactly what Bernado got (and Homolka should have).

Of course I don't give our system enough credit. How often does it produce results that do deserve credit?
