Going as the "macho man" Randy Savage. Costume involves tights, a rainbow cowboy hat, a neon spray painted leather jacket, and possibly slim jims (or if I can't find those, hot rods).

Spoiler!
Those are pretty brilliant. I hope whoever was Brett Hart didn't actually wear the belt, but just had it slung over their shoudler all night. Would make my own belt, but already all arts and crafted out after painting the jacket.
Muscle glasses for Halloween.... ok, good call man..... #### off!
LOL
As lame as it is that's where I got the idea
If I had a Expos hat I would be the Sauceboss...
I just had a BaconStrips shirt done up, got a bottle of JD in the garage and some aviators laying around. Just need to buy a pound of bacon and I'm good to go
Does anyone know where I might find neon orange or some sort of bright orange shoelaces? I had a white pair I tried to paint over with some orange as I couldn't find any previously, but that was an epic disaster.

The girl and I are going as this this year, she's obviously getting the worse end of the deal haha. Going to the bar, I'm curious how many people there will actually get it, its more of a 20's/30's bar but I'm sure there will still be lots of youngins.
The girl & I stole your idea and dressed up as this last night. There were, sadly, more people that didn't get it, than who did. A lot of explaining, with most people after an explanation said "oh yeah, Marge has a gambling problem"
I kept saying "come on people season 5!" Then I realized that probably was 1993... so, yeah, not yesterday, actually closing in on 20 years ago.
That said, holy crow does the Simpsons hold up, in preparation we watched this episode and laughed our arses off.
Edit: Additionally, when I showed my girlfriend your idea she loved it and wanted to go as that. Then everyone kept telling her how awesome of a girlfriend she was for dressing up as Floreda
Also, one guy said "oh hey she's Florida, but she spelled it wrong"

Haha nice, I didn't even notice you originally telling me you were going to do it too until I scrolled back a few pages just now. Ya I'm not surprised more didn't get it than did, we're doing it tonight (the girl's actually building the Floreda costume as we speak), and I'm expecting similar results. Especially because we'll be at the bar (though its an older bar, like mid 20's - early 30's bar). I'm sure whoever does get it will laugh pretty hard though. I know I will be all night whenever I look at her haha.
EDIT: And agreed about Simpsons holding up. It's funny how many comedy shows/movies I remember loving back from the 90's and even 2000/01 that when I watch again I barely laugh once through. But I always die laughing when I throw in Simpsons back from that era. Which makes it especially depressing when you watch any of the ones made in the past 10 years. Just shows you how far they've fallen.
