Anyone else try assigning themselves to the Hitmen? I'm racking up a 2 PPG pace because nobody on the first line knows how to shoot...

I'm playing be a GM mode this is my team so far.

Started off with the jets (flames fan, but born in winnipeg)

Forwards:
Stamkos - Crosby - JVR
E Kane - Malkin - Gange
Skinner - Seguin - Dvorak
Slater - RNH - Biznasty

Defence:
Hedman - Doughty
Larson - OEL
Hamhuis - Vandermeer

Goalies:
Pavelec
Enroth

If you have alot of patience, you can actually do some pretty lopsided trades in be a GM.

Hmm, I did too, Bubnick has like 10 goals in 6 games, seems fine to me!

Yeah, I'm running into the same issue. I'm getting my points either from goals I manufacture myself or assists where I setup a tap in. Fiddler and Foucault just skate around the perimeter any time they have possession in the offensive zone, it's becoming pretty frustrating at times. Still on pace for 160-170pts though, so I can't complain.

What did you give up to get stamkos and crosby?

i had my first game freeze last night while playing hut. was just a random time in game where it totally froze. i don't mind freezing that much as i know it happens with electronics. however, i hate that HUT has such a steep penalty. losing a games worth of contracts for everyone is valued at about 200 pucks, getting kicked out of the tournament i was in means no 500 puck bonus for winning. getting booted means no pucks for completing the game which could be 300-500 on a normal game. my dnf ratio is increased which means i will get slightly less pucks for a while thanks to that modifier in calculating pucks. so because the game froze, i lose out on roughly 1500 pucks. it will take me several games to earn that back as i am unwilling to spend money to buy a team and half of the pucks earned each game go to upkeep.

Huh...Fiddler doesn't get off the ice and Bubnick passes to me. I'm about 10 games in and have 14 goals, 6 assists.

I'm about the opposite, I actually have a lot more assists even though I'm a sniper.

For those playing HUT, what's your general stratagy? I don't feel like playing online I earn as many pucks, so I played the first 3 tournies, and now just play the offline games. Do you spend pucks on the jumbo packs, normal packs, booster etc? Or buy players on the market? It seems like a struggle to keep any players at all..

My strategy is just to avoid getting disconnected but it isnt working.... It is the most frustrating mode ever especially when I was winning 4-1 in a tourney game of the finals and I get disconnected and I am out of contracts. FUUUUU EA

for anyone else who was super frustrated by constant freezing/unplayability of season mode, the dev team has provided an update/workaround:

When starting a new Season Mode game, please ensure the Roster Control setting is set to STANDARD. There is currently an issue with changing this setting to Full Control. This issue will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

In the mean time, for user's who wish to have the Full Control roster experience, you can set your Season Mode to have 30 user controlled teams.

I can't get some of my settings to stick. I want the camera to alternate north and south depending on the period and I want my controller to be always up. For some reason it always has me "prefer up" on the camera and "camera relative" on the controller.

In HUT:

I rarely post about issues with HUT, but one that I can NOT stand is the glitch with LINE CHANGES! Say I turn the puck over in the offensive zone and my opponent is countering going thru the neutral zone on a 3 on 3, I would control the centreman and try and change my forwards (wingers). However, when I do that, automatically the defensemen changes as well. WTF!?!?!??? This has happened multiple times and has lead to 3 on 1s. No, I'm not pressing the wrong button, I explicitly change the fowards line ONLY, yet the d-men changes as well.

I hate how being down by one goal with a minute to go and a penalty, the cpu still thinks dumping the puck out of the zone is top priority. Grrrr.
