TV volume must be an even number no matter what.
I cannot talk to someone and send a text message at the same time, otherwise I end up sending what I'm trying to say out loud, I get made fun of a lot for this.
Whenever I'm in the passenger seat, or the one behind it in a family member's car I hold my hand or head against the window, and whenever we drive past a tree on the roadside I take my head/hand off the window until we have passed it.
Whenever I'm watching a Flames game with family I need complete silence.
I always reset the trip counter on my car when I fill up so I can see how far I get on a tank.

When I set my alarm at night, I check to see if it's on like 4 times, paying special attention to AM/PM, radio vs. buzzer, and if the alarm switch is actually on. I will then crawl into bed, and usually I'm still uneasy about it, so I will get back out of bed, walk over to the alarm, and make sure one last time.

The only really obsessive behavior I have is playing out right now. I'll take my laptop to bed, and I'll constantly check 2 or 3 tabbed websites back and forth for sometimes hours.

You get the idea... I just can't shut off sometimes. But as soon as I close the laptop, I fall asleep within 3 minutes.

Ill add another vote for blowing fans...
no not me blowing fans...
fans blowing...
hummmmmm
Seriously...there is nothing nicer than a cool fresh breeze when going to sleep, but i just open the window above my bed. That way its not just recirculated, but actual fresh air. I find i have a way better sleep.
Sorry...not trying to hijack the thread, lets get back to talking about poop.

Yup - I go batty when I make cards with stamps and inkpads - drives me insane if I get the ink on my fingers.

I'm another one who needs a fan, seems its pretty common actually. As an insomniac/painfully light sleeper, it really helps block out the noise.

The most irritating thing with this is when it is a post that isn't in the top five of the list, and you feel a need to go through every one, trying to remember who thanked them before and who might be new.

Actually, I do that with my car. Our MDX, on the other hand, automatically resets after re-fueling so no need to manually reset.
I have urge to push down on signal stalk when turning left and push up when turning right when driving (or changing lanes).

Propably my most long-lasting one (10+ years) is taking eggs out of their package. It must be balanced, you can't just pick two eggs from one end, you have to pick one from the each end and one from the left and the other from the right row. (I don't know if you have the same kind of packages, but I think you get the idea). Otherwise someday someone will drop a package of eggs for that reason. Makes absolutely no sense, I know.
I do a similart thing with medication or candy that comes packaged in those... I don't know what you call them either actually. Those foil or foil+plastic thingies which usually have a ten pills/candy in a pattern of 2x5. I always take pills/candy symmetrically (what ever you call them in English), and always in the same zigzag-pattern... Unless someone else has meddled with The Pattern, in which case I have to figure out a way to start picking them based on a whole new Pattern.

Haha I do that with eggs, but not with the medicine. Thank god I am not completely crazy (yet).
One thing I can't tolerate is walking on the right side (no matter who I am walking with or for how long) I MUST, I repeat I MUST walk on the left side. When walking in three, I can be on the left or in the middle, but never on the right side. All my friends think I am nuts because of that.

I think it was just coincidence, but for some reason my body made a mental note of it, and for years afterwards, whenever I'd get really aroused I'd sneeze. Just one sneeze, right at that first pang of arousal. Very strange. Thankfully it finally went away, although it still creeps up every once in awhile. Haha maybe I'm allergic to being aroused, idk.

Holy s*** man, I don't know how it started ( ) but I do the same thing, just one sneeze, that's creepy.

The woman cannot believe what she just saw. Then he sneezes again,

The woman says, "Excuse me sir, but that is disgusting and rude, and

He says, "I am so sorry that I have offended you. I have this very

The woman, disarmed by the man's honesty, and somewhat embarrassed
by her own callousness, says, with sympathy, "Oh you poor man, what are
you taking for it?"
"Pepper," he says

One thing I noticed since this thread is that when I get to work I open all my programs in the exact same order every day, and if one shutsdown/closes I will close them all down and re-open them all in the same order I do in the morning.
