My next 2 days at work are going to be lacklustre to say the least... and it's gonna take a miracle for the Black Caps to beat Sri Lanka tomorrow. But I'll be watching.

^^^^ I'm not sure about that..NZ, with brilliant mind of vettori, will give SL a good match. I'm actually leaning towards NZ, because i feel they will come out with a " nothing to lose" attitude.

NZ were doing ok at 192-5 until they totally collapsed to 217.
Should be an easy chase. But I thought SA would chase down NZ easily too so you never know!

Not looking good for NZ at this point. They can't get this partnership out.

I've seen this script before, Sri Lanka suddenly looking shaky!!! 169-4 and the key batsmen are out....

Sri Lanka win by 5 wickets. NZ's end of the innings collapse really cost them, who knows what might have happened if they got an extra 30 runs or so. The only question remaining is who will Sri Lanka face in the final on Saturday?

My guess is India - but not by much. India has the batting lineup, while Pakistan are stronger with the ball. Whoever wins that battle, wins the game.
What do you think?

Its really a coin toss. Good bowling can beat good batting for me so I'm thinking Pakistan

I hope v.kohli makes his mark on this int'l scene. I know he scored a century on his wc debut, but this is the "handing over" india cricket needs...they will do it!!!

Not looking to be a dramatic finish today. Pakistan is down 6 wickets, and needs over 8 runs per over at this point.

And it's over. India wins by 29 runs. They were always in control of the match during Pakistan's batting.

^ I disagree. Pakistan was in control till Misbah got in, he literally sucked the life out of any momentum Pakistan had.
When you have a youngster like U. Akmal coming down the pitch and putting Yuvraj away for sixes and have Misbah blocking everything, there is something fishy. I don't wana say it but Pakistan has been known for fixing. I'm hoping that wasn't the case here but I got no other explanation.
First the Tendulkar drop at 27 then to go in full defense mode? Misbah was the goat again vs India as he was in the 2007 T20 final as well.

I wonder if there were large bets placed on the sub continent as to Tendulkar being dropped. You never know with Pakistani cricket.

No kidding, dropped 4 times? 3 of them by the supposed best fielders of Pakistan in Misbah, Younis, U Akmal. Totally lame end to a much hyped game.

Pakistan was never even coming close to meeting the required run rate, the whole time I was watching, which started at about the 17th over.
Of course, you will know more about cricket than I do, so I'll take your word on it. It always looked like India had things under control though.
