I'm sorry - you could have killed a family and I'm supposed to feel sorry for you because a cop roughed you up a little?

What is much more interesting is that, according to him, the trial wasn't about him driving drunk but more about the police officer that arrested him... isn't our justice system grand?

“I just want justice for my son,” Carol told The Journal on Tuesday. “That wasn’t fair for him. I want people to know that the police should be out there protecting them.”
Quote:
But Carol and Anita also admit Cyrus had his problems and had been in trouble with the law. They say Cyrus didn’t like the police, and was probably intoxicated at the time of his run-in with officers.
Quote:
“He didn’t deserve to die,” Anita said. “One shot, he could have been arrested, they could have charged him. But what can they do now?”

They also wonder why he couldn’t have been Tasered or shot in the leg.
Quote:
“There’s no reason, no matter who it is, but especially him,” said Sue Patenaude. “They could have tackled him, they could have Tasered him. They could have shot him in the hand.”
I couldn't be a journalist, having to hear such foolishness, even if it is coming from a grieving mother.

It's called grief, not "foolishness" idiot.

Apparently you know the details, you've deemed the grieving mother a fool. (nice)

So can they deem the shooting necessary ? Or was the kid 100' away ?

Are you looking for reasons to hate the police, because if you look for anything hard enough you are likely to find it. That is having a vendetta against all law enforcement, and while you may have had a negative incident in the past, you going out of your way to tar and feather every cop makes you look like foolish.

And someone asking why they couldn't shoot someone in the hand is foolish.

I'm sorry for the mothers loss, no one should out live their kids. However I don't think it matters what the answers she gets are, she's not going to accept them.

Her kid was stupid enough to rush officers with a bat and a knife. Nobody is at fault for this kids death except for this kid.

Maybe she needs to look at the problem of her under aged kid being out all hours of the night, intoxicated and the fact that he had been in trouble with the law before and hated the police.

It sounds like he was a powder keg and it was only a matter of time before something bad happened to him.

But any kind of truth won't make her feel better.

Wait...what. So you weren't impaired and co-driving a car with someone else?

While I feel bad for the boys family the kid should have known better.

Here's the immediate reaction one should do.
