Someone on CP suggested it!! Thanks again!! Took about 2 weeks to get here I guess. OMG is it amazing. Very similar to the previous volumes of episode guides but this one has 20 seasons all in one guide and every episode gets 2 pages.
Thanks for the heads up Cecil. I just ordered the book, can't wait to get it! It'll go well with my Simpsons DVD sets.
Here is one of my all time favorite lines I just can't get out of head for some reason. I'd wager any fan of the show who worked drive-thru pulled this stunt at some point.
Probably one of the funniest Simpsons gags was the American toilet in the Australia episode. Now the bit itself is funny but the best thing about it was the misinformation it spread.
For quite a few years myself, and according to the internet a whole ####load of other people, thought that toilets in the Southern Hemisphere really did flush counter-clockwise (or is it clockwise?). Perhaps that myth was around before the Simpsons but I've never heard of it except in reference to that episode.
Don't one of the flashback episodes say he was born in the early 80s?

I am honestly surprised they haven't made a full length McBain movie. or at least given him an entire episode. But I guess that would interfere with their plans of having entire seasons designated for episodes where guest stars can play friends of Bart and Lisa. I swear at least 10 episodes per year consist of that, and another 10 towards marriage issues... it's gone past the point of tiresome.

If you put all the McBain clips together it makes a short movie.
I think this was in the episode where Bart steals a video game.
Homer: How could you?! Haven't you learned anything from that guy who gives those sermons at church? Captain Whatshisname? We live in a society of laws! Why do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies? For fun? Well, I didn't hear anybody laughing, did you? Except at that guy who made sound effects. *Makes sound effects and laughs.* Where was I? Oh yeah! Stay out of my booze.
Haha this one reminded me of another Police Academy reference, when Marge becomes a cop.
Homer: When I first heard that Marge was joining the police academy, I thought it would be fun and zany, like that movie "Spaceballs." But instead it was dark and disturbing, like that movie "Police Academy."
Someone on that staff really hated those movies...that and any Spaceballs reference is a win for me.

The PTA Disbands was on last night. I forgot how funny that episode is from start to finish:
Mrs. Krabappel: Seymour, you have to think of the children's future. Seymour: Oh, Edna. We all know that these children HAVE no future.
[everyone stops and stares at Seymour] Seymour: Prove me wrong, children. Prove me wrong.
Bart: Now for Operation Strike-Make-Go-Longer. Y'know, I heard Skinner say the teachers will crack any minute. [the teachers spread the message to one another] Teacher with glasses: Skinner says the teachers will crack any minute, purple monkey dishwasher. Edna: Well, we'll show him! Especially for that purple monkey, dishwasher remark.
Homer: Lousy teachers, trying to palm off our kids on us! Lisa: But, Dad, by striking, they're trying to effect the change in management so that they could be more happier and more productive. Homer: Lisa! If you don't like your job, you don't strike! You just go in everyday and do it really half-assed. That's the American way!
Marge: I'm worried about the kids, Homey. Lisa's becoming very obsessive. This morning I caught her trying to dissect her own raincoat. Homer: I know. And this perpetual-motion machine she made today is a joke. It just keeps going faster and faster. Marge: And Bart isn't doing very well either. He needs boundaries and structure. There's something about flying a kite at night that's so unwholesome.
[Looks out window] Bart: [creepily] Hello, mother dear. Marge: That's it, we have to get them back to school. Homer: I'm with you, Marge. Lisa, get in here.
[Lisa walks in] Homer: In this house, we obey the laws of thermodynamics!

Classic scene, but also easily the most over-quoted Simpsons line on the internets, especially Youtube. See the comments section of practically every single Simpsons clip for further confirmation.
I love when he gets his beard caught in the pencil sharpener later in that ep too.
