Second season definitely felt a little rushed. Considering they had to change the ending of the original to even create a second season you can see the results. It was still well done and had a great feel but definitely not as solid as the first season.
I also think part of this is a lot of people involved are highly sought after and tied to other projects. As much as I enjoy the show I hope it doesn't drag on and lose all context to the beginning.
I kind of feel like this one... this one they should stop. Now, while they're still sort of ahead.
I can't think of where to take the storyline that will work very well... but hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised.
The show runners or someone in that group has definitively said they will end the series at season 4. Which is great news imo, they have mapped out a satisfying storyline
Feels like they are going for a "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" vibe this season.
Not necessarily a bad vibe IMO. I happened to be flipping channels and ended up watching it again not long ago and it's actually aged surprisingly well.
That trailer screamed "please put me out of my misery". This show needs to end.
I get that not every show is universally loved but as one of the few shows these days you can actually sit and enjoy as a family I feel it's hard to be overly critical even if it's not your cup of tea. It's like hating on Toy Story as it's almost spiteful.
though I still enjoyed many individual moments, last season's story of "Eleven hangs out with a bunch of strangers for one episode and comes back with the power of anger" didn't do it for me.
I'm hopeful they've got much more inventive ways of using her and the rest of the gang this time around. Stranger Things always pushes the nostalgia factor to its limits, but the mall setting is gonna be a lot of fun for those of us that were around in those days.
Looks pretty sweet. I really liked last season minus that one episode with 11 and that new girl with powers which was really poorly done. All the stuff in Hawkins was awesome

I think they were trying to show that powers besides 11's exist, without having to have characters with powers living in the vicinity, that they would actually have to explain outcomes about later on. It also leaves the door open to some kind of spin off or expanded universe.
Pointless from the perspective of this show though.
