Buncha whiners. Bitching about gas prices is taboo around here. Y'all need to take the bus. The bus goes anywhere you want, and your magic backpack can tote everything you need. Right, Weitz?

Fuel prices are almost always cheaper in and around Edmonton. It's been that way as long as I can recall.

Go West. We're living the high life with 152.9 on the Island.
I'm in the process of trying to get my hands on an Electric car that will cover the family needs. I'm pretty close to getting one for what I pay for gas monthly in 2 vehicles. Pretty crazy times.

I feel like I'm in college again, I'm driving until the gas alarm goes off in my car and putting in a half tank in the hopes that prices will go back down at some point.
I was talking to a buddy of mine about how when we were in college we'd put 5 bucks in the tank and drive for a couple of days until pay day. Now 5 bucks would probably get me to work and back.

Nice try. Back when you were in college, $5 bucks could have filled 2 tanks and a motorcycle.... haha
But yeah i haven't filled up premium for my recommended premium fueled car for about 4 months now.

Well to be honest we didn't need to fill up with gas, we just had to move our feet faster
I'm glad I traded in my SUV last year for something a lot more gas economical, its saving me close to $60 bucks a months.
I thought in cars that need premium that using non premium was really damaging.

You're probably hurting your fuel economy depending on the vehicle. If you want to maximize the fuel mileage/cost, your best bet might be running shell v power premium since it has no ethanol and will give you maximum fuel mileage.

I haven't noticed a difference to be honest. I drive a standard and still getting around 700kms per tank. I don't think i will switch back to premium when gas prices go back down.

I filled up this morning at costco and it was a bit busy, I think I had to wait for 2 cars. But apparently half the city showed up because when I was driving away there were at least 30-40 cars waiting, maybe more. It filled up the entire waiting area and then stretched out in a massive line way out into the parking lot. It was nuts.

I filled up a the Deerfoot Meadows Costco last night, as I was in the area, and it took about 20 minutes. It was non-stop lineups.

Have you figured out the quantity and cost of electricity for an electric car for the equivalent mileage?
