Which would have been the right call without the power of hindsight. Hischier was completely tilting the ice during the WJC like a superstar against some talented rosters. Felt like the next Bergeron/Datsyuk type. Still might be.

I don't think anyone at the time would have been upset, I agree.

Sitting Binnington tonight is a gutsy call by Berube. They're also without Tarasenko.

Again the Blues dominating the flow of play, but the Canucks getting a few quick strike chances and looking dangerous. This is such a clash of stules, it's fun to watch. St. Louis's style should winout in the long run, but the problem there has been Markstrom, and this game is no exception so far.

Blues may be more physical and and had what it took to win the cup but Cunucks speed, talent and goaltending are outshining St. Louis so far in this series. That could change... exciting series/hockey so far. And Blues just tied it up.

Really puts into perspective how close every team really is.

Two absolute snipe shows for the second goal for each team.

This match up definitely looks a lot closer on the ice and in the games than our series. Also, really like Perron's game. Feisty, physical and can score.

Perron is so damned skilled and yet such a butthole. Perfect playoff player. Amazing he ever
played for the Oil... although I guess they'd never have the chance to find out.

The Blues clearly smell blood and the Canucks, especially Hughes, look tired. Doesn't bode well for them given they have a back to back tomorrow.

Blues are possessionally dominant, but Markstrom's lack of giving up any rebounds makes goals extremely hard to come by. They need to create more havoc on the doorstep. Dude just has the angles down and isn't getting screened.

How useless is Eriksson on this team?

The Canucks clearly look like a team that doesn't know how to play in the postseason, as I'm pretty sure they're trying to get this to OT to secure a point in the standings...

I think the Blues score here. EDIT: nope. They should have though, with Motte defending high with no stick. At least take a shot, ffs.

Hes actually been a pretty solid 2 way player all year

Obviously his salary is ridiculously high, so in terms of value hes horrible

But he gets played in a lot of late game and high leverage situations and is very dependable

I've watched the Blues possess the puck since I started watching some time in the third.

Canucks must be money their handful of chances or something.

Flames are in trouble even if they advance. Am I the only one who thinks the level of play and pace has been waaaaay better in this series than ours?
