He was still getting better as a Flame. It was inevitable he'd be a better player when he left unless his new team was worse and his stats suffered as a result.

The Stars goal this game was on the power play. It is their first power play goal against the Knights this season. They were 0/8 in the regular season and 0/4 in game one.

Too bad one of these teams has to lose. But VGK is looking good- they are getting into oiler-beating form . It’s so wrong they get Avs or Jets if they win though. Four elite teams battle it out while the darling oilers get the kings and either preds or a Canucks team possibly sans demko.

I feel kinda sorry for Dallas. Win the west and meet the now healthy defending champions (with Hertl, Stone, Hanafin, etc). Seems quite unfair to me.
