Not hard to arrange that if it's staged..... I'm not saying it is but 2+2 equals four since they were saying how militarized security is.

I don’t agree with your both sides takes. Trump’s rhetoric has directly led to people dying. I don’t believe you can make a similar, genuine claim against Biden.

You're so brainwashed that you can't see how Biden's/Democrats rhetoric has encouraged violence and division. You actually think it's only Trump and Republicans.
I'll say it again, they're all guilty of rhetoric that incites violence and division.

Democrats caused this violence, Ukraine invaded Russia, Trump is actually a pretty nice guy and a great dad and husband...these takes are endless comedic fun hahaha

So many are deluded by pure Russian propaganda, it's jarring. All those bot farms are paying off for Putin.

Can you clear something up for me? How is someone supposed to comment on Trump's depravity and deeply vile behavior, policies, and rhetoric, without it coming across to Maga folks as "inciting violence and division"?

If the reports about where the shooter was firing from are true, that seems like a pretty egregious security failure. He was on an easily scalable building that's a few hundred feet from the stage, but it was outside the security permiter and they didn't have anyone on it or covering it. I get that these outdoor rallies are hard to secure, but that seems kind of crazy.

Even if Trump were to drop dead now of natural causes some time in the near future, you just know his supporters are going to assume it was an assassination and all hell would break loose. You almost need to wrap him in bubble wrap now.

They’re pictures of him dead on the roof. Dressed in black, white roof, wide open sight lines for significant distance. It’s insane he made it up there at all.

If there is a conspiracy here, it's probably more likely that people around him in his inner circle and security team are just like, what if we just maybe didn't focus so hard on security at this particular rally, or in this particular area this time.

This all but guarantees a win for the one eared Cheeto, unfortunately.

This is pretty much the worst thing that could have happened. There is now a guarantee of violence around the election, imo.
We live in the worst timeline.

It feels that way at the moment for sure. There are 16 weeks until election day, and if the rest of them are like the last couple, then who knows what will happen or who the candidates will be.

Here's the thing that scares me...
This violence will almost surely lead to the ideas of retribution by someone out there. What January 6th showed me is that there is no shortage of people in this country who are willing to accomplish violence to achieve political goals, and this incident reinforces that there is still the idea out there that the only way to solve political problems is with violence. It scares the #### out of me that this will become the norm in various arenas around the country. We already forgot about the attempted kidnapping of Gretchen Whitmer, the invasion of Nancy Pelosi's home, the shooting of Steve Scalise etc. etc. etc.
When I moved here, the idea of regular political violence was laughable. Even with heated and sometimes hateful rhetoric in the political world, there was a clear detente between both sides when it came to violence. Now, it seems like it's becoming the norm, and I worry that this is just the beginning. It's even starting to scare me away from going to cast a vote (I'm not there yet, but things could get dicey).
So much of how MAGA nation decides to respond to anything comes directly from Trump's mouth. How he decides to handle this could either calm things down or be the match that lights a fire in a group of people that love their guns and view the other side as an existential threat to the country. If they see them as their mortal enemies too, it's game over and we're in full civil war. Unfortunately, I know what Trump's tendencies are when it comes to rhetoric, so I assume this will get much, much worse now.
Forget the election, this is the #### that keeps me up at night.

I'd say it's especially fitting with the upside-down flag...
