I honestly think this is a better result for the Colts than they could realistically have hoped for. I mean of course as it turned out they'll be disappointed not to have held on to that lead but the Rivers thing paid off, he was competent and it's conceivable that he could get a win over the past couple of weeks, maybe two? Probably not but it seems far less impossible than it did a few hours ago.

We really need to liquidate the NFC South.

Confirmed its a torn ACL for Mahomes....suspect it will be the same diagnosis for Parsons.

Good effort from Rivers but he doesn’t really have the arm more than 20 yards down the field at this point. In most games that’s going to be required at some point, like today.
But the effort and story is great to come in as cold as one could be after 5 years and more or less be in command of an NFL offense in a game. Full credit to him.
A guy like Newton snivelling about not getting a call, there’s no way he would’ve seen this through.
Colts are in tough though now to make the playoffs so where they go from here is a decision.

Packers are probably good to make the playoffs with the tiebreaker over the Lions, but they are likely a non-factor for the Super Bowl without Parsons.

Uhhhh... Sean Payton, what was that? If you're going to go for it that's... not the call.

Lol we're not even a week removed from Andy Reid costing the Chiefs their season with a far worse decision. The decision is fine, the play call is horrific.

Because Lutz has a weak leg and Payton isn't happy unless he makes multiple idiotic play calls each week

A first down also wins the game, and it's about a 60 yard FG, so I get that. The only alternative is a punt to try to pin them deep. But it's 4th and inches, and Bo Nix isn't a small guy, surely the Broncos have some sort of tush push or even just a sneak is like 75% likely to get it.

Like a full house backfield hand off to the fullback is comically bad lol. Just punt if that's your play call.

It was at the 37, so a 52 yard FG. That decision screamed having no faith whatsoever in the kicker. Still seems weird to me.
Anyways with the injuries to Parsons & Adams, this opens the door quite a bit for the Seahawks and maybe the 9ers and Bears.
Some awful injuries today, hopefully everyone makes full recoveries.
In other news, the Jags are in the running for the #1 AFC seed. Never thought I'd say that.
Oh and na na na na na na na na hey hey goodbye Chiefs.

^^55 yarder, not 52, and a missed kick gives them 10 extra yards of field position. I know we've normalized making 50+ yarders, but it's still statistically more likely to convert a 4th and 1 then it is to make a 55 yarder.

Yeah I think this is the Bills year in the AFC or bust.
Denver is right there but they do seem that they have got a lot of things going their way in games this year to escape.
Can that continue like it did the Chiefs?
Seattle and the Rams this week should be for the #1 seed in NFC west and probably the NFC, but Seattle has Carolina and SF as well to finish the year.
If you’re not winning the NFC West/getting the #1 seed it’s best to slip to the 5 seed to go play TB or Carolina as opposed to Philly.

Yeah, the Hawks' big chance was for the Lions to win this week, because the tiebreakers favour the Rams... Even if Seattle wins that would put them at 3-2 within the division with the chance to go 4-2 if they win in Week 18 at San Fran. LA would be 3-2 but with only the lowly Cardinals left.
As far as common games go, Rams are 6-1 with a chance to go 7-1 against the Falcons. Seahawks are 6-1 with a chance to go 7-1 against the Panthers.
So if Seattle beats the Rams but loses either of their other two games they're not winning the division. Which to be fair, the Rams are better at football so they should win it.
