Teri Garr

Also had small roles in a lot of stuff like Star Trek and Andy Griffith Show, and was Phoebe's birth mom on Friends. Retired since 2011, she was diagnosed with MS in 2002.

She was great! Will always have memories of her in Close Encounters, Tootsie and Mr Mom. Phoebes Mom was a perfect role for her.

RIP.

I remember her most for taking a shower on the Letterman show. She was awesomely funny though.

She was brilliant in her day, Young Frankenstein, Mr Mom stands out( a savagely under rated movie), Close Encounters.

She just kind of Vanished, I didn't know She had MS.

I'm sure Letterman will be heartbroken with her death, they seemed to have a close relationship.

Teri Garr’s many appearances on Late Night gave it a cachet and importance not possible without her. She was a first class actor and comedian and a lovely human being. A bright star and a real friend to the show. I was lucky to know her. She elevated all, and I’m sad she is gone.

Yeah, he was also one of those actors that you could recognize by his distinct and memorable voice.

I always liked him.

Oh wow, Tony Todd was just in so much:

His roles as Kurn and adult Jake Sisko in Star Trek
The morgue guy in the Final Destination movies
Had a memorable role in Xena as Cecrops, and then even more so in Hercules as Gilgamesh
He was in The Orville as a Moclan
CIA Director in Chuck
2 roles in 24, including one as an African dictator
Was in Stargate SG 1
Had a guest spot in Smallville
One of the bad guys in The Rock

Such a great, great actor

Haven’t watched it in years but I remember Candyman being terrifying when I watched it growing up. It wasn’t the first horror movie I’d ver watched but it was definitely the first one that actually freaked me out.

RIP

I definitely remember him as the Hirogen leader on ST Voyager. That alien race was always one of my favourites in the ST universe.
