Ordinarily yes, but I've bought from him for years. He always puts his remaining stuff on 50% discount after the lunch rush so he can go home.
Is that in the downtown Calgary core, plus 15 level, and kinda NE corner of downtown? Approx what time do they start their discounts? Am looking for some quality cheap eats once again when downtown.

About the size of a closet? That's the place. He puts the sushi on sale around 2:00, give or take 10-15 minutes or so.

WRMMH is my wife. Had a few too many beers after work today so she was nice enough to come get me from downtown.
To repay her I will get up before her and take the dog before he gets restless and walk down to get the car. I’ll bring coffee and treats back for her.
Sometimes you just have to show you’re appreciation to those who do things without questioning.

I got one of those now. You are a lucky man Weitz.
We found a way to move my wife's day home around a little so I can have the main floor office. After 2 years in my basement dungeon I can be in the sun.

Waking up early in the mountains on a beautiful sunny day, getting a good breakfast with no line ups and heading out to explore frozen waterfalls and ice caves.
It makes me happy that ####tymorph is posting on Reddit again. If you don't know him he's an S-tier troll who responds to threads with posts that start out as compelling stories that are perfectly suited for the topic, but suddenly pivot with the comment, "in nineteen ninety eight when the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcer's table."
AITA for looking forward to some snow this weekend? I don’t want the cold but am looking forward to fresh snow for skiing.
As well as very much needed moisture overall for the ground.
I went to the Flames game last night, wicked game.
I got home around 10:45.
I always go and see the kids to say hello anytime I come home (unless it's late).
The boy gave be a big unsolicited hug out of the blue.
I love that I have a relationship like that with my 16 yr old boy.
I never had that with my dad.
I think that's a sign you're doing quite well @ being a good father
My Dad's father was a real POS (lived 2 lives with 2 different families in secret as crazy as that sounds)
Growing up my Dad made it his goal to never be like that and to do anything and everything for us as kids. Never really understood it when I was young but now being an old fart in his late 30's I've come to truly appreciate it. Having 2 boys (1.5 and 3) myself now I can only hope I'm half the Dad he was to me, and I make it priority every day to let them know how much they mean to me.
Never thought being a dad would be so

Had the best day in a long while. Took my 9 month old shepherd to the dog park for the first time. I typically hate dog parks, but she has so much energy, we decided to give it a go. She was in heaven, got along with all the dogs, and her recall was spot on. Later me and the wife hit up a bar for some cocktails and appetizers before going to the Flames game. Flames won.
Watching calories for the first time in my life, and trying to create a deficit, up my protein intake and get lean and built.
Healthy meals, healthy snacks, no more fatty hot drinks at work. The great thing is I like a lot of the food options available to me now.
I already feel so much better than I did. My mood is more stable, and mind is clear.
Doing regular workouts now. I don't care about how structured they are, the point is to get into a rhythm of just being on a schedule, that's what matters most. Can get more specific later.
Feels good though. i'm happy with myself.

I have to be honest, mentally the lifting of most Covid restrictions today makes me happy. It feels like we are (hopefully) on the way out of this. And if I can judge by the mood at beer league hockey last night many others feel the same.
