well to be fair, Arsene would be a much better choice than Southgate. And yeah, a massive upgrade over Hodgson.
Plus Arsene at least gets top 4 every year. I'd be delighted if England reached the semis at a tournament for once |

I love that Wenger is an upgrade on Hodgson, I cant argue with that and despite Arsenal mediocrity I have a lot of respect for Wenger.

I also have to give Southgate credit for running away at the first mention of his name.

Klinsmann has been mentioned a few times for England. Wouldn't be the worst hire ever.

Sure...I mean, are there a bunch of uncapped German players in England that he can naturalize? Because if that well is dry then maybe not so much...

Really he's right. When people have trouble falling asleep, they'll remember to watch that game.

Sport Witness @Sport_WitnessRyan Giggs insisting. that England should 'stick to the plan' and 'appoint from within'. Let it go Ryan, let it go.

makes sense that Giggs of all people is advocating to appoint from within. If there's a great young coach in the system, then yeah, it's the way to go ... but doing it for the sake of doing it is beyond stupid. I hope those old farts in the FA go in a different direction.

I feel like Portugal just forgets how to defend some games.
Not sure how Croatia created nothing against them in that game.

Ronaldo is so good in the air - I'll never understand why he insists on taking free kicks from 35M out when they could try to get a ball into the box for him.

Surprising non-call there. I guess the ref felt Ronaldo ran into the defenseman.
