I don't know. There is pretty convincing evidence that once a back has a 400 touch season, that they don't get back to being the same kind of player. Wide Receivers tend to provide you with a lot more mileage. Personally I like my odds of finding a back in the draft or using Hilman/Anderson for production better than what you'd get from Murray and a replacement WR.

I actually think the Bronco's run game is starting to show some good life with Osweiler fitting into the offence that Kubiak wants to run.

I agree for the most part I'm just not a fan of putting big $ into an ancillary position like WR, especially a soft WR like DT. For his size and athleticism there's no reason he shouldn't be dominating games like Johnson or Bryant but he always seems to just be kind of floating around. He's not terrible by any means but philosophically I think he's a waste of money on this team.

I think the Eagles would be perfectly happy to offload Murray's $8M cap hit after this season for a fourth round pick. If they cut him it's all dead money, but if they trade him it's $4M in cap savings.

Admittedly as a Chiefs fan, wide receivers are like Quarterbacks, I truly have no idea what a good one looks like. At least at some point in my life the Chiefs had washed up Joe Montana to play a couple seasons. Jeremy Maclin looks good to me this year, big time upgrade from Dwayne Bowe. DT is >>>than Maclin from what I've seen. I suspect most Eagles fans hate Maclin and couldn't be happier that he's no longer there....to me he looks like a good player and I can't imagine how terrible the Chiefs would be had they not added him.

So for that I do wonder if Sanders is as effective if you take away Demarius Thomas and put Caldwell in every down. If you have average-mediocre QB play, than I think you do need better talent at the WR position. Even the great Aaron Rogers and Tom Brady have shown to struggle when they lose the better talent at WR. If the Bronco's can get away from the money they owe Manning, than I think it does increase what DT brings to their team.

Well if not for a few boneheaded mistakes, the Vikings might have actually won last night. I'm pretty happy with the bounce back effort from the team.

I don't know, I'd be pretty disappointed if I was a Vikings fan after last night. A win pretty much locks up a playoff berth and they for the most part outplayed the Cardinals even with a bunch of injuries. Just shot themselves in the foot a couple times and that was that. The AP fumble was really unacceptable, he should have better awareness than that. Vikes still in control and two wins the next two weeks at home should get them in, but a win last night probably leaves no doubt.

When you go into a game expecting a repeat of last week's performance vs. Seattle and you get an outcome like last night, tough to be too upset about it.

Norv Turner's play calling in the 2nd half was downright questionable. The offense is rolling and you call a freaking reverse?! The two dropped INTs will surely haunt Harris & Rhodes.

Edelman (foot) surprisingly practices Friday

Julian Edelman (foot) returned to practice Friday.

Edelman suffered a Jones fracture in his foot Week 10 and was expected to miss the remainder of the regular season. One of the more injury-prone players since joining the Patriots, but also one of the toughest, Edelman appears poised to play before the playoffs. It's highly unlikely he suits up Sunday night against the Texans, but a Week 15 return may be possible.

I think Minnesota showed a lot better, and really to me that's what they needed, something a lot better than they did the previous week. I think 9-7 will at least get you in a tie breaker in the NFC and 10-6 get's you in. Not winning last night certainly will knock them down to the 6 seed for playoffs and a date in Lambeau. But for the most part I think the Vikings are a developing team so for them to be at this level this year is good progress.

Lets face it, the only real contenders to win the Superbowl are Seattle, Carolina, New England, Denver, Arizona, and Green Bay. Out of those teams four have QB's who have got it done in the playoffs before. Newton and Palmer certainly seem capable. Denver is a wild card with Manning, if he somehow recovers to health the Bronco's look much better at the position.

Outside of those teams...Pittsburgh would join that mix if they could get in, but they don't control their own destiny so that's not even a given. Cincinatti is pretty good, but I can't see them in the Superbowl. Kansas City, Minnesota, AFC South and NFC East winners, are all way behind everyone else. The Chiefs might last a round if they get the 4 seed, but they're a bit like Minnesota...not even close to good enough to even be thought of as a Superbowl team this year. At least the Vikings have a lot of guys in a favorable age bracket for future years.

I think Cinci could win it all. They are very good, if not great, in all aspects of the game. They got some swag with some signature wins. They look a lot like the 2012 Seahawks. At this stage, given the injuries the Pats have, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them in Santa Clara.

Baltimore will face Seattles 2nd ranked defense with just 4 of their 11 starters on offense. Yikes!

Could be a game changer in the NFC IMO.

Dalton throws a red zone INT.

Can he ever win a big game?

EDIT: and now it looks like he injured himself on the same play and may be out for the game.

Looks like they'll switch this Fox game soon, Cam destroying the Falcons and up 21-0 in the first quarter.

Ted Ginn, 2 catches 120 yards, 2 TDs. Falcons might go from 5-0 to 6-10. Wonder when Matt Ryan will get a little heat from the media.

This Bengals/Steelers game is nothing short of nasty, old school, dirty, classic AFC North football.

Good stuff, though it is bordering on over the line dirty play. Dalton out, Eifert under concussion protocol and there have been 4 or 5 personal foul calls already.

Cam Newton is remarkable.
