I'm getting ready to be disappointed Monday.
I predict Saul/Jimmy simply goes to prison and Kim marries her new loser boyfriend has a boring ####ty life.
End of series.
Game of Thrones level of disappointment for me incoming

Game of Thrones had 2 seasons of increasingly disappointing episodes to the point that I barely cared when it was over.
I've enjoyed these last 3 episodes and liked each better than the previous. I think we all still care about Kim and Jimmy.
I never know what's coming next with this series. The finale could be a big blow up extravaganza or a just a tidy wrap up of this epilogue that is the last 4 episodes. It seems like we're conditioned to expecting something spectacular in finales from the network shows we grew up with, but these better series tend to go a different route in wrapping up a story like a movie or novel.
I suspect it ends with some kind of redemption for Saul in getting Kim back in a better life maybe as a lawyer again (after seeing how she was looking at the defense attorney in the court room).

I predict Kim doesn't get prosecuted, which puts her into an interminable spiral. She ends up an alcoholic just like her mother.
I predict Jimmy is caught by police and ends up in prison, serving a long sentence.
Both outcomes are precisely what the characters don't want to happen to themselves. Unhappy endings all around.

This is almost certainly the worst possible scenario I can think of for an ending, and the likely one.

If Jimmy gets arrested would he not be forced to testify against Kim? I'm sure he wouldn't be above lying to save her but I could see her going to jail too.
I'm hoping we've seen the last of her story so I can believe she will go to therapy and get help to live a good life.
But anything goes and I think I'll be shedding a few years tears on Monday.

Expecting a finale to make you a few years younger is setting your expectations a little too high, I think!

I love that this series continues to make time for scenes like Kim breaking down on the bus. It's always been more about the character beats and those kind of scenes and moments for me than the plot.
I'm still kind of stunned Kim confessed. I don't think she'll feel any better, even if she's prosecuted.
Excited for the finale. What a series. What a run.

Oh yeah I agree. The writers have long since made a happy ending for Jimmy and Kim (nearly) impossible in the gene timeline. This didn't have to be the case.
I don't really see the need to explain why I wanted Jimmy and Kim to find peace together in a happy ending. What a bizarre question.

You brought it up though. I thought it was a discussion board. It couldn’t be any other way. They aren’t deserving of a happy ending. I want an ending that I’d believe, not some saccharine fan service to satisfy the people who wanted to see Saul and Kim together again at the end.
My feeling is Saul is going to die, like all of the other bad guys from the series and BB that he sort of made note of in his call with Kim. I doubt Kim gets any happiness; he confession will follow her back to Florida. Like the other poster said, she’ll just be miserable and probably turn to alcohol.

If WH went into this expecting a fairy tale happy ending, he wasn't really paying attention to, well, anything that's happened in both series.
....
I don't see Saul dying. He never really had the all or nothing death wish of the other characters, and going out in a blaze of glory is not really his character. I'm guessing he does something to set Kim on the path of a fulfilling life and ends up in prison for a long while.

Testify to what? She's already filed an affidavit; she already copped to all the crap they did to Howard. They don't need Jimmy to corroborate, nor can he just jump on that proverbial grenade and save her from prison. It's already out there, Kim made sure of that.
I'm guessing neither are prosecuted for anything they did together. Rather, I'm guessing Jimmy goes to jail for all the #### he did as 'Saul', none of which included Kim.

She said she didn’t think she’d be prosecuted because there was no material evidence or witnesses except for her ex-husband. I don’t know if the affidavit is enough to convict her in New Mexico. It’s a moot point anyway because there’s no way it comes up on the final episode.

Kim's sad new life was bad enough to watch, but that birthday card scene at the office hit me extra hard. My last job was in a smaller office, and the worst part was having to sign those stupid cards for birthdays or babies or whatever else for people I didn't give a single #### about outside work. Now I'm working for a large enterprise level company in a 100% WFH position, and it's glorious. No small talk, no pretending to be interested in whatever someone did over the weekend, and no ####ing cards. If I were stuck in Kim's position I'd have to take the easy way out

lol. i feel this exact same way about my previous job, working in an office. i hated pretending to give a ##### about my coworkers. I work from home now too, smaller company, and don't need to deal with that every day.

In whiteouts defense, prior to this season and seeing how Saul and Kim left things, there were lots of theories floating around about Gene being in Omaha and Kim originally being from that part of the country and maybe that was a connection.
Even as recent as 2 episodes ago, one could hope that Gene reaching out to Kim in that phone booth would have been the necessary turning point to save the relationship. There was tons of speculation about who the phone call would be with since it was initially referenced.
With that said, I think I am happy it didn't go that direction as it may not have been true to the story or the characters. But it is also in a way hard to square the characters as they are now to what they were early on. For such a long time Jimmy was the rule breaker that operated in moral and legal gray areas, but Saul and especially now Gene, are just bad.
So then you start to question whether you even hope for a happy ending. And then enter into the equation of even if we as fans have an idea of what we think would be a solid ending, that the creators of the show have shown time and time again they can subvert expectations and go a totally different way. (usually in a satisfying manner) That to me is what has been so exciting about these last 4 episodes, they have been so uncharted as a fan. (did call that Carol Burnett using the computer to find Saul though!)

The Gene storyline is supposed to be around 2010 right? What's with Carol Burnett using dialup and Ask Jeeves? That's more like 90s internet than 2010. Were dial up providers even around in 2010?

It is in 2010, yes.
Dunno about dial-up providers but maybe her internet browser had Ask Jeeves as the default search engine lol, the same way Bing is the default for Explorer/Edge now.
That was a hilarious part in a very sad scene.
