Geez, I'm going to have to check out the west side of Fish Creek this summer. I ride my bike daily on the east side (east of MacLeod, that is) of FC. Last year I ventured into the west side and immediately ended up in some neighbourhood. I thought the park ended there (grew up in the NW so my only experience in these big parks was bushwacking thistle, inhaling sun-dried weed dust and slapping mosquitoes on Nosehill).

Fish Creek is no less special for actually being a natural environment in the middle of the city (although it was not always "inside" the city).

I hear people say this all the time but can't for the life of me figure out where in Central Park they were when they came to this conclusion. There are areas in the North end of the park that don't feel artificial, largely because for the most part they aren't. There are areas in the middle and southern portions of the park that are lovely, but I've never had any sense that it was anything that wasn't cultivated. Perhaps spending a lot of time around the park has lead me to see it differently than people who haven't had that degree of exposure. That said, I love the place and wouldn't change a thing about it.

Can someone please explain why they are so turned on/off by something as random as hair colour? You've got it all wrong: It's all about hair quality, which pretty universally coincides with blondes, brunettes, and redheads evenly.

I go for quantity over quality. I wouldn't date a balding girl no matter what the color.

Basically, if you're going uphill in fishcreek, there is a very good chance (like 99%) that you'll end up near the communities when you come out but trust me. There are a lot of intense trails within the park. I've seen many people hurt themselves pretty badly underestimating what you can find in Fish Creek.
A lot of these trails are hard to find though so I'd try and go with someone that is fimiliar with the area.

I walked through the entirety of central park. I agree with you, the entire thing is clearly man made. Apples and oranges with Fish Creek. Fish Creek is laregely natural grassland. Central Park is manicured lawn with deliberately placed trees throughout.

Well I wouldn't go that far, if you walked through the "entirety" you would have encountered the northern parts of the park, many of which aren't at all manicured. Most people don't make it up there, the only reason I ever do now is to head to the outdoor rink up there.

Drive is a dreadfully boring movie. i could only take about 30 minutes of watching Gosling staring off into nothingness and being a conversational ###### before i had to turn it off

Red Gold: Sexy effects of the color red
Waitresses receive more tips from men when wearing something red.

These findings build on research that has shown that men rate women as more sexually attractive when they are associated with the color red (Elliot & Niesta, 2008).

Nope, definitely went there too. Maybe not as manicured as the rest, but definitely not a natural environment of any kind. I have photos of myself outside the ice rink. Granted, I was only there just over a week, but we stayed at Gramercy Park and then used Central Park to get to Uptown. I walked the entire length of the park several times and exited through various points on both the East and West sides. Not a single point in that park is natural.

Terrible at paying taxes and making investments, which has led to him essentially agreeing each and every script with decent financial backing that comes his way.
