I moved some posts again.

The problem with having a monster thread with so many different conversations is that it makes searching harder. Or somebody could have something to add a week later (or even a day later), but instead of that bringing the conversation back it would be confusing 2 pages later. So the person has a choice of creating that confusion, or just keeping silent.

When in doubt, either start your own thread or do a search for an existing thread. (For example there was just a winter tire question asked.)

Where can I buy really fat straws in Calgary? Smoothie-worthy straws. The so-called "jumbo" straws from superstore just don't cut it.

Is there a rule in the MLB where catchers can't get custom designs on their helmets? If not, anyone able to find any pics?

I remember when the first catcher started using the goalie style masks (Charlie O'Brien of the Jays) he had a really nice blue jay design but was told he couldn't use it. I assume the same rule still exists. I think they only allow the team logo.

If I want to use the CTrain park and ride, which is the best NW station to use? Dalhousie is the most convenient, but wondering if any others are maybe better depending on when I arrive (kind of 8-8:30ish time frame ).

8-8:30 all the free spots are long full in the NW.

If you get there by 7am Brentwood *should* be OK.

I work with a Scot who needs to be told who's boss...

Anyone have any links to hilarious reasons why Canada is better than Scotland?

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
