I think most people are confused about what you are asking for. And telling him to pull his head out of the sand even makes it more puzzling.

WTF are you talking about dude?
ALL I said was that it was a goofy statement for silver to make, as when people are all involved in the same circle of business/friends/politics/whatever, that knowing the names of some of those other people is hardly a surprise, whether or not they are in the forefront of the movement.
Im starting to believe you are part of the (lunatic) fringe myself...or you simply misunderstood what i was saying, but either way, i have zero idea what the hell you think i said or need proof of or whatever inane crap you are trying to pull yet again.

Alright fair enough. Transplant said this:
Quote:
What's hilarious about it? She is involved in civic politics, and when one does such work it hardly unusual to know the fringe elements in a case like this.
|
It's the cases like this part that I'm questioning. I would like to get an example of other cases such as this, since Transplant is assuming its just common knowledge by saying "hardly unusual".
I would like an example or two to support the "hardly unusual" claim.

Examples like what?
As a broadcaster I know other broadcasters?
Or as a member of CP I'm familiar with other members of CP?
Sorry still REALLY confused what you are driving at.

The quote says "hardly unusual".

Sorry, I meant hardly. Not highly. That was typo.
A politician or someone involved in civic politics knowing the fringe elements in a case like this. I am simply asking for an example of two of another case like this.
Not sure what's so hard to get about that?
Maybe I'm wording this wrong or something.

"cases like this" means what it says.....civic issues with opposing sides all chiming in. they know each other (or of each other), that much is clear, so again what the hell are you asking for? Times previous when they knew each other?
(Im seriously completely lost at this point)

Forget it. I'm not asking this correctly then, nor if I did, would it even matter. I retract my question.

Translation: I'm trying to trap FL into admitting to her ongoing involvement in civic politics (or politics of any stripe.) I'm attempting to use transplant's innocuous statement as bait to finally get proof that FL is only aware of these people due to her ongoing interest and intent to participate actively in politics. By getting transplant to admit that it actually isn't "hardly unusual" (through his inability to provide examples), I can prove that FL's awareness of these people actually is in fact unusual and likely only due to her ongoing active engagement in politics on behalf of herself or her husband. Therefore, busted!
Point, set, match!!!
(How'd I do?)

Can you guys give him another example of a situation where the names dropped might have been involved, so we can end the madness?

No you're wording it right, it's just a pointless and stupid question. Another example of cases like this would be basically any case of civic politics. A public meeting over a construction project, a protest over tax hikes, job action by civic employees. Or, even just reading the local news.
It seems to me that you are making a concerted effort to start an argument where there's nothing to argue about.

I do not believe that you hate that when it happens. Can you please provide an example or two of when it happened before and you demonstrated your hatred?

I didn't know she ran for alderwoman, but then I probably wasn't paying attention. What riding was it for?

So, the argument is that First Lady knows of fringe political weirdos because she is a fringe political weirdo?
I thought that we all already knew that.

I have no idea if FL is a weirdo or not, but we must have proof of it before it being allowed apparently.
I think Ozy went to the Chretien school of thought...
