Haha stupid Raiders. Snack on that for lunch.
Edit: Nice to see Champ seal the deal with his second pick of the day.

Pepra with a selfish play, trying to take an INT back for a TD.
Must drive the coach crazy. Risk fumbling; risk getting himself, or his teammates injured. Just kneel, end the game, and win it.

That was unbelievable! Between Dnv/Oak, GB/SD, & NE/NYG, I couldn't even figure out which one to stay on. God bless Sunday Ticket.
Sure made up for the morning games...

Great set of afternoon games for sure, but I can't be the only one getting sick and tired of all these pass interference calls deciding big games. The majority of the time the receiver has no chance at the ball and often just make incidental contact with the defensive player.
Take the interference call on Woodson versus Gates. Gates pulled up as he had no play on the ball, but Woodson didn't notice Gates had stopped and ran into him by complete accident. However, Gates had only pulled up since Rivers had overthrown him, and Woodson running into him had no affect on the play. They really have to start using better discretion on these calls, as there is usually one or two per game that play a major role in the result.

As a Bucs fan, even I was disappointed in the suspect officiating in this morning's game. The way they played, the Bucs deserved to be embarrassed.

How about implementing the college football rule, 15 yards and an automatic first down? It would still be significant, but not necessarily game changing.
There's absolutely no reason (other than putting the defense at a distinct disadvantage) to make that penalty stiffer than a personal foul.

Just watching this one on the commercials of the Flames game. Seems like every time I flip to it, Torrey Smith's dropping a pass. Get your head in the game dude!

Can't believe the Ravens went 2-0 against the Steelers.
Flacco looked pretty good today, the receivers haven't been good enough though.

Ya how fitting Smith catches the winning TD after all those drops today.
Gotta say I'm surprised, the Steelers always seem to pull those types of games out against the Ravens. Changing of the guard in the AFC North?

Flacco was great on that last drive. Amazing how a team can look that bad against the Jaguars, than make a drive like that to win in Pittsburgh. Ravens might get that home playoff game this year. Would be crazy if they were to sweep the Steelers..but have the Bengals win the Division. But that's crazy and won't happen.
San Francisco pretty much won the NFC West today. Give them credit though, they've won 4 games in the Eastern time zone already, tough for West coast teams to do. I think they'll be the number two seed and play in the NFC championship game.

On a side note, its good we're getting more fans from different teams posting in here now. One thing that confuses me lately is, on various travels around this board, I'll see posts by newer people who have an NFL team as their avatar. Yet they never post in here. What's up with that? You're that big a fan of the team that you make it your avy on a hockey forum, and you don't wanna talk pigskin?? Just seems bizarre.
Just bring it up because the one that I saw the other day was a Steelers avy, I'd like to hear his (her?) take on what happened. I like having fans representing as many teams in here as possible, good to hear from all sides.

That may have been the worst game I've seen Tom Brady play. Ocho couldn't catch a cold in a daycare. I can't believe that's three weeks running that the Pat's defense has looked better than their offense.

Without naming names, pass interference bailed out a few teams yesterday, that weren't doing anything on their own.
The penalty for PI is too harsh. Should be 15 yards and a first down. That's all.
And it should be a 15 yard penalty on receivers that make the flag throwing motion every time a pass is incomplete. Unsportsmanlike conduct.

I think the penalty for PI is perfectly reasonable. Say you have a DB that gets burned on a 40 yard pass and hauls down the WR before the ball gets there, you're telling me that should only be a 15 yard penalty? Seems like the rule would favour the defense at that point.
