I understand that I'm in the minority in these conversations. I like having some black in the jerseys and don't love the retros.
However, if the Flames are going to head in that direction, I'd be much more on board with something like this:
My biggest problem with the retros is how McDonald's they feel. Bright red and bright yellow is just too much. But a darker red (almost maroon) and a creamier yellow works together very well.

Those are beauties! Would like to see them as alternates though, as I like the brighter red for the primaries.

I know the title say's " Ken King please read", but am i the only poster that whats him to have no input on new jersey's? From what i have seen of designs that he has liked, i think i rather have Addidas take over from start to finish.

I used to hear the same complaint about our Heritage Classic jerseys which I liked, and the Cavs old third jerseys too, which I also liked. Why is having a colour scheme similar to McDonald's a bad thing? Maybe McDonald's chose that scheme cuz it's awesome. End your Crusade against the clown and embrace the colours!

The heritage classic jerseys were ruined by the Ronald McDonald fakes.
I thin Maroon in the real heritage classic Jersey would be similar to what is being proposed above.

Changing the shade of red is fashion terrorism.

I'm with you on that. I like the current jerseys.
It's pretty rare I even open a thread like this. I would imagine that is the norm for anyone content with the current look.

By no means an endorsement, but here's a new concept from Icethetics.
The designer gives a description and some reasoning here: http://www.icethetics.co/concepts/2017/1/30/fire

I should add, I wasn't even sure that was meant to be the Flames at first.

Looks like a slackjawed Arizona Cardinal.

I'm liking the design of the Laval Rockets new jersey, anyone have the time to create a Flames Concept with this design in mind?

Complete with the #9 on the sleeve to honour Lanny?
I'm sorry, but putting a second number on the sleeve (for "Rocket" Richard) is one of the worst jersey concepts I've ever seen...

Of course a Flames concept of this jersey wouldn't have a second number on it.
