The people who play music like that always have the worst taste in music too. Makes it twice as bad.

Why does absolutely everything suck worse than 10 years ago. Ordered flowers for the wife’s birthday a few days ago for today. Of course they say they will deliver in the next few weeks after multiple email confirmations to be delivered today. Twat cunstomer service is just the worst. They can’t just say they screwed up, nope, just bullcrap. Hope it brightens her day when they arrive and zero chance of a refund. What? Just say it’s a screwup and give my money back. Nope. This stuff was so seamless not very long ago. Absolutely no recourse now. I could do a chargeback but that process is now so cumbersome that it’s not worth it. On the phone with banks today, they do everything to avoid talking to people. The language barrier is so insurmountable. No one knows how to do anything.

The solution to all these blue tooth speaker problems seems obvious to me. You should just be wearing your own headphones and then you won't have to listen to their music, you can be listening to your own music.

People just can't enjoy being outdoors without technology anymore.
Be it a hiking trail, on the pathway or at the playground.
Gotta be playing music, gotta have headphones on or gotta make a Facetime call on Speakerphone just because you can't sit still without a digital distraction.

People that drive to trail heads are the worst. ####ing technology has ruined traffic too.
Disneyland sized parking lots. Should make them all paid lots.

Out on a hike? Absolutely judging. Can’t hear potential dangers, others hikers, “on your left”, etc etc. Seems counterproductive but sometimes you need Chappell Roan to provide the soundtrack to your walk I get it.
Definitely gonna mumble to myself that you’re an ####### when I walk by you though

Bought a Dyson vacuum 2 years ago.
Beater bar motor burned out. Vac is still under warrantee.
Customer service agent says the replacement motor is out of stock. They'll sign me up for a "email alert". A month goes by. I call back. They say that's unacceptable, they'll replace the vacuum with a newer model(!) They need my address. I send it.
Crickets.
2 weeks later I call back - I'm told the part is out of stock. They can't send me a new vacuum, that was a mistake on the part of the previous agent.
The part is available from the Dyson store on Amazon for $90. They can't send one of those to me.
Is the goal of customer service to just rely on the runaround till the clock runs out? Am I supposed to get some social media influencer to go on a rant for me?
WTF?

That’s weird Dyson has always been amazing for me , including shipping parts overnight free of charge despite being out of warranty
This was a few years ago so maybe like most companies they started cutting costs and created a #### service

Children’s life expectancy , poverty levels, minority rights , women rights , women employment participation , medical breakthroughs , access to information (with new challenges ), worldwide access to clean water , relative peace , and a higher standard of living across the globe off the top of my head ?
But I guess flower deliver in North America has gotten worse

Its always interesting to me, I've never had such terrible experiences with Banks and its getting worse every year. Last year my Intern's Mom worked for a Bank and it was interesting having a new perspective.
He'd tell his mom of the stuff he saw coming through my office and she'd express to him: "Its just like that now."
Banking in this country is concerning.

Last week I put an online order(stupid "online only" pricing requires it) in with Co-op liquor. at 8am for a 2:00 pickup. I show up, and it's not done, and the lady is looking at the scanner saying "it says "pending". Another guy shows up and says "ya, you have to check the scanner every hour as orders come in." It's "pending" because it hasn't been done. But I had ordered at 8. So did no one check all day? So many people are just so bad at doing the most simple things these days. I blame politicians, setting poor examples(all sides!). Also, the Dutch.

Order online for pickup now means, once you arrive to pickup your order, we'll pretend to look around for it just for the illusion and then we'll prepare your order while you wait.

Plus a big part of going hiking is listening to nature, so I hate it when the sound of birds and wind through the trees is drowned out by someone's crappy music.

It's a double win when someone has earbuds in. I don't have to hear the crap music, and if there is a predator near by (granted, rare for sure), they won't hear it.

I know what you meant, but I read that as "some guy in the Woods trying to kidnap you."
"Only YOU can prevent Forest Abductions!!"

I feel your pain and I am seeing it more and more everyday with the most basic of tasks, requests or scenarios. It's beyond maddening. You try to pay cash for an item, it's a disaster, no change or improper change or they don't know how to break bills for a proper tip.
Banking? Oh my lord, I left a big 5 bank 10 years ago and I still need to show them how to do the most basic of transactions/requests.
Tire rotation the other day and my steering wheel has an extreme shake afterwards, like extreme. Shop manager says its normal I force them to take it in and they reverse the change and causally mention 1 tire is separating from it's treads. When questioned about fairly new tires under warranty, was told it was void due to them being summer tires (they are all seasons) and are not mud and snow (logo on tire indicates m+s) I wonder if I get killed in an accident they are liable? LOL
The absolute best one lately is a hail insurance claim from my car. "Due to a cash settlement in lieu of repairs, you no longer have hail coverage"
There is no cash settlement, your insurance company paid for the repairs, the shop received payment and the car is looking great. No amount of convincing. I literally don't think a single person in multiple departments has the brain capacity to actually verify payment was sent to an autobody shop. There is no disputing this. Every useless manager keeps repeating the same garbage notes on file. Escalated to the insurance regulator and most likely CEO/media.
It's getting to the point with things where I think the strategy might just need to be small claims court for a lot of these disputes. At least you get to the attention of legal department where hopefully people just make a business decision to get to the bottom of something.
Common sense and actually listening to customers and impowering your staff to fix basic issues is a lost form. Everybody is scared and needing approval. No independent thought on problem solving.
