LOL, so I found a 1616 armour shield (blue). Searched for all shields and the top one was... 1616 and the person had it listed 50 mill/500 mill. Not even close to reality, and it has since expired. So I put mine up for 9000 opening bid. Looked funny. It is still the highest armour shield listed.
I'm number 1!! LOL.... maybe I can buy Fotze a Brazilian with the proceeds.

my playtime is nearing nothing, how are you guys still keeping the game fun, is it the AH and hopes of money that keeps you going or?
I leveled a DH and enjoyed it until act 3 of Inferno, now I have a barb in act 3 hell and hes been pretty fun, I just feel so totally disinterested when inferno comes around because of how much farming you need to do.

I'm keeping it fun by not playing in Inferno. "White mobs will 1 shot you." Doesn't sound like any fun to me at all. I also don't have a ton of playing time, but I am nearing having beaten Normal with 1 of every class.

My 2 cents
As a married man, I don't have a lot of time to play games, so it's still been fun for me to try to get all 5 characters to lvl 60. Don't really plan on getting them thru Infernal.
I sold my first item recently, and I can see the appeal of selling and buying from the AH

We managed to snag 3rd row seats to the Blizzard panel at SDCC yesterday. They revealed the upcoming Diablo statue - the thing is massive and highly detailed (yes diablo is a chick as per the earlier). Should be easy to find images of it online now.
Poor guy who brought it up on stage dropped it initially and freaked out some of the panel, Chris Metzen cringed. It was pretty neat to talk with him and grab a cheesy fan picture with him.
Oh and the prototype Tychus status is also cool. Rather bulky and lights up if you're into that sort of thing.

So you saw Chris Metzen in person... Tell me, has he fully completed his transformation into Bono yet?

So Blizzard's telling me I was wrong.

I guess this was just recently updated and is conformation that higher MF does affect item quality.
So I was definitely going about farming wrong, although I was still fairly lucky, I do wish I had done more MF gear swapping
On a related note I have been extremely lucky with Legendaries lately, both in that they have been dropping frequently and they have all been useful. Got Stormshield, a good Kymbo's Gold (sold for 1M), Blade of Prophecy (MF sword for my enchantress), Sun Keeper (MF mace for me, bringing my MF set up to over 300 without valor) and I just got a Frenzy Immortal King belt.

i re-rolled a barbarian on the and realized that I don't like chasing down monsters, clearly I am more of a shoot monsters from far away, might try playing a WD next, but I am thinking it is more efficient to play multiple characters at once so I don't end up throwing away equipment that another character can use.
sucks though since I started a DH on the EU servers and have been playing on NA servers with some other friends lately.
I do agree that most of the enjoyment is happening up to about hell act 4, inferno just seems too ridiculous to enjoy, hopefully leveling other characters will increase my gold and find some other equipment to eventually get to inferno. I figure the longer I wait too, the more high quality equipment will go in to AH and lower prices to something reasonable.

You can also try playing Hardcore. It definitely increases the intensity of the game.

That's not a bad idea, Hey Thor, since we're both in the EU let me know if you want to start some HC characters, its tricky to get the timing right with some of the NA players.

I have A LOT of rares in my stash. So many that I find myself trying to sell these things more than I'm playing, lately.
I am having a hard time deciding HOW MUCH I should sell these items for. It's not like WoW, where you can link an item in the AH and see what everyone else is selling for. It's a lot more time consuming to go back and forth and try to get your items listed at a price that might be bid.
Does anyone have any recommendations or know of any sites or add-ons that can help with this kinda stuff? I'm almost to the point of just inviting random people and giving the rares away.

Just a note: Just because something is rare, does not mean it is worth selling, often vendor or salvage is by far the best option.
You need to look up comparable items, by their important stats. 25 FR is not generally important, but 100 vitality certainly is. if you have an item with 200 dex, then 100int might be irrelevant, but if the dex isnt there then the int becomes the important one.

I guess that's half my problem. Identifying items that have "good" stats on them. Good enough that I should put them on the auction house.
Thanks for the quick tip. I'll just have to play with it a little more and figure it out.

Salvage is never the better option. Crafting mats are cheaper online than to 'create'. Just sell it.

Not true. Some of them are not like the others. I will let you figure out which are which and in what scenarios you do salvage, not sell.

Incorrect, although it is certainly not better to salvage everything. Keep in mind I am only referring to Inferno level materials, I think you are correct for all other levels.

So I ventured into Act 2 last night with a pretty powerful tanking sorc and....holy crap! Regular minions like lacuni hit like a truck and then you meet a champion pack that will drop 5 sentries and vortex you right into the middle. I have no idea how these experts from blizz forums play ("DH cannot get hit, period") not to mention HC DH. I have over 60k HP as a DH (fairly low res thought) and I was bleeding left and right.
Back to Act 1 farming. This game is so much fun!

Ok, fair enough. Let me know. I'm only halfway through Hell right now.
As Thor said though, my play time is dropping. It was fun to be part of the trend, but I just don't think this game is going to keep me around. Kinda boring. I mean, I've already got to the end twice...
