I'll be in Cancun for Christmas. Any suggestions for things to do during the holiday season in Cancun? Never been away for Christmas before.

Also interested in some good places to eat, real mexican not resort food.

Why don't you and the little one go to Disneyland. You could take your buddy Puxlut and her little one with you.

Has anyone had any luck using hotwire.com? I always pull the plug when it comes time to give my credit card info and just book directly with the hotel. Probably a mistake, but is there a way to back out if you don't like the hotel they select for you?

Try http://www.hotwirerevealed.com/ if you want to beat the system

U.S. cities only though.

Another great option (and one that has Canadian/International info) is www.betterbidding.com

I think sometimes its better in the US than internationally. I can heartily recommend not taking a 3.5 star in Barcelona. How can a hotel room not have a bed!?! Fold out couch only.

Pretty sure Hotwire is only useful in the states. Even doing it in Canada yields no better results than you can find on expedia. In Seattle we got an awesome 4-Star downtown, partial view of the water for under $100. No other site came even close.

Wow luckily hotwire didn't have anything for menorca when I went last year or I probably would have used it instead of expedia.

Used it for Hyatt in Phoenix (used betterbidding.com to "decode") and got a wicked deal.

Calgary to Cairo, Egypt - $960 roundtrip after tax

KLM's flights to Cairo, Egypt just dropped to $960 roundtrip after tax. Typically, the cheapest from Calgary are around $1200 to $1300, so it's nearly 25% less than the usual best price.

This price looks to be available for flights anywhere between January 11th and the end of March.

You can see them right on KLM.com

Air Canada has a websaver discount code for 15% off right now.
EXCLUSIVE PROMO CODE: 4NJKH3R1

I used it for flights to China this spring, at $961 round trip including taxes (Shanghai or Beijing) that's a great deal.

The promo code gives you 15% off any flight though, but I believe it expires soon.

Thanks Bizaro, forgot to mention that one on here. Westjet has also matched it (15% off anywhere they fly). They were both released today and expire on the 23rd.
