ok some things I would like answered or thought about, if someone doesn't mind...
1) If Pete's is willing to sponsor, including us, then we can have some events there to make up for it. Whoever is dealing with them, the Centrals would like to get included if you can swing it.
2) Jerseys... have they been ordered yes or no? If NO... the above postings are somewhat confusing on this. IF the central team doesn't get Pete's sponsorship, do we mind spending a few bucks more on jerseys?
3) COME TO THE PRACTICE TODAY AT 4PM IT IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY! Bring friends if you want!

Sorry I couldn't make it out today... I'm sure I missed a good time...
SW! Do we or do we not have the necessary amount of girls? I have two that want to join. They're both willing to pay as well (ie, they're not just wanting to sub). So... What's the head count?

And FTR, I know them well enough to know that they'd be pretty ok with bench warming as well, so (shhhh!) we can let them join, but if there are 'too many' girls, they'll just cheer from the bench.

You people need to read every post!
Jerseys ordered and paid for some 2 pages ago (or so).
Petes is willing to sponsor us. The clear condition being that we frequent the pub after our games. Every week, expects 9-13 people.
SW team has three ladies full time: Chid, Rinkrat, Banffgirl. We also have Shauna from Pete's who would like to play 50%, and pay half what we paid. We need three on the field at a time.
I have been dealing with the managment at the pub, and when I set up the next meet it will be posted here, as several people said they wanted in on that meet. Problem is, manager usually only there days. I will be talking to him tomorrow AM so will post something then.
If Central is going to frequent the pub after all their games then they should come to that meeting as well. As stated before seems odd for you guys to go so far, but that's your choice.
If he wants advertising on our shirts, like NWCalgarylaw, we can put it on 15, or 30. If we do get money from him, we need 190 to pay off the rest of the jersey cost. If Central is also going to support the pub on their game nights, then we would split whatever is left over after paying for shirts. My guess that amount would be 110 - 310. Not sure what cost the silkscreen place will need to put another thing on the shirts.
Maybe it will be enough to put the nameplates on. Maybe everyone should post what they want on their shirts, if anything.

We recieved $500 from troutman's firm to get the ball rolling on shirts. Without any money from Pete's the shirts will cost about $6 each. That's everybody SW and central will pay about $6.

We will have (with all in attendance) 3 guys sitting out every inning!
Half the time, at present capacity, we will have 1 or no ladies sitting out.
So, I for one, would say one more lady would be very good. Two would be too many, in my opinion.
We need 7 guys on the field and have 10
We need 3 gals on the field and have 3.5
For the 0.5 see my large post earlier re Shauna.

I may not be able to make all of the games due to work so having a few extra girls might not hurt....

Chid,
When we do have all ladies show, how would you feel about having to sit 50 % of the time?
If you and rinkrat and banffgirl are indifferent, then by all means we should pick up both girls 4x4 has.
As long as everyone is cool with sitting out half the time.

It would probably work out better. Nothing worse than having to forfeit a batter every inning because of lack of chicks. There'll inevitably be a weekend that more than one girl can't make it out. As for the weekends that we have too many girls, well, I just don't see a problem there...

Okay, everything is not clear at all with regards to the shirts to me. So because we need to take these to the silkscreeners late this week (if they arrive) we need to have this hammered out. This is going to be confusing enough as it is because I'm going to be sorting shirts out by size and then asking them to put patches on some, name bars on others, and specific numbers on all. Beyond all this we don't have enough money for the shirts yet. So for each team...
What is going on with Central? You guys seriously can't be thinking about driving from downtown to the deep SW to hit a pub after your weeknight games. Find a sponsor with a pub close to your home field. It's not going to be hard and if you get your arses moving then you can have the option of putting their logo on your shirts as well. If not then pony up the $6 each. Also, if you guys want name-bars figure it out and then you can collect for both at the same time.
Is SW getting name-bars on all their shirts? If yes, I need to know what everyone wants on their shirts.
Now the last things involve Pete's sponsorship but I guess we won't know until the meeting takes place. If he wants patches then we have to get his logo in a high resolution format. We should also ask him if he has a black and white logo because this would drop the price severely.
I don't mean to sound irritated but the sooner we figure this out the sooner I won't have to think about these shirts anymore.

For the Central team, don't to namebars or the Pete's Pub logo. We're trying to get Kit's to sponsor us. We have extra funds from having an additional player, so we'll get you the $95 for our teams' jerseys as soon as we can meet up. There. You don't have to worry about us now, other than getting the right numbers on the right sized jersey.

Where is that "Mikes" commercial with the firefighters when you need it?
Who wants ladies?
Aye!
Namebars?
Aye!
Numbers? Do we want numbers boys?
Aye!
Alright, Petes sponsorship?
Aye!
Who is going to pay for it?
Aeneas.
This is the easiest job I've ever had.
Jokes aside, I do want the namebars and such, and if I have to cough up $6 more then thats fine. Depending on when the Petes meet occurs I might be there. Do we want their money or drink specials? I guess that depends on the terms.
A sincere thanks go out to Aeneas and Rhettzky for all their hard work. Lord knows I wouldnt have done it.

Q: Which two team members are getting no sleep due to new borns?
Oh well, sleep when we are dead.
Tried Kevin at 0900, no luck. Will keep trying till I get a hold of him.
Those who want name bars Rhettzky needs that info ASAP or it doesn't happen.
I for one will take one, with my user name on it. (rather not have "perforated" in front though!

I'll also take a namebar, Locke is preferable, but Supreme Overlord will also suffice.
#20 would also be nice.
Just put it on my tab. Consider it as part of my contractual rider for gracing you with my softball prowess this summer.
No, seriously, I'll pay for it, no big deal.

Rhettzky: Let me know when Skyline calls, I can go pick them up and take them to Silkscreen. If we went for food and drink specials rather than cash, I think he would not really care to have anything on the shirts.
Really these are just t shirts.
Maybe next year if he likes us and we reciprocate, we could get fancy jerseys with his pub name on them. On him.
Just my thought. We (SW) may have the two new players. That's 200 bucks. That covers the 95 share of jerseys, and balls. We don't really need money. Cheaper drinks and food may add up to more than $500 when all is said and done.

We also need to elect a Beer Guy or Gal.
You will need a cooler, and an initial investment of ice and beer/drinks.
I recommend 48 beer and some soft drinks.
You will need some way to collect money. Need to decide $2 a beer? $2.50. All profit initially goes to cover the start up cost, then goes to the team. Maybe a tupperware container to put money in.
I elect anybody but Rhettzky and I!

What about a Sommelier Guy or Gal?
On hot days, I'd like a nice crisp sauvignon blanc or a refreshing chardonnay.
On a cloudy day, perhaps a bracing shiraz or petit syrah.
If we had a hibachi, a lively cabernet would complement the grilled meats very nicely.
Champagne and cava to celebrate our victories, with some nice french cheese and fresh fruit.
