Yeah, at the beginning of the broadcast they were saying how he was hitting 0.404 but it's small sample size etc.

Then he goes 3 for 4 with a HR and now he's hitting 0.429.

Edited to add: Kirk is playing wel also, but you'd think with numbers like that you might let Kirk rest his knees a little more often. Maybe still DH Kirk if you want his bat in but it's not like Heineman needs to be sheltered at this point. The Jays have Kirk for a bunch more years - it would be good not to wear him out now.

It’s definitely nice to have a position (catcher) we haven’t had a problem with for a while now. A pretty important position to be good in too.

Shouldnt have let Francis start the 4th. His is just so so bad. If it wasnt a great catch on a line drive by Vladdy or the pickoff throw by Kirk this would be a blowout.

Our BP is so thin today they’re trying to squeeze as much as possible out of Francis.

Fun fact. If the Jays don't come back in this game. Their last 3 losses will all be Francis Starts. A streak stopper for all the wrong reasons.

Been out of the Jays loop the last few days. Saw the score and the inning it was in and figured it was Francis on the mound to start. Was correct.

Francis is useless right now. If you asked Schneider, he’d probably be ok with him giving up four or five runs but Francis should at least eat a bunch of innings to protect the bullpen for the next few games. Walking five guys and running up his pitch count is exactly what he didn’t need to do.
