Well, we have a mouth watering final in Barcelona on Sunday as it will be Charlie vs. Oikos. Dan Evans is no scrub, but Charlie made short work of him today.

We've had some recent talk on this board about a possible Milos return - Hyeon Chung is making a return to singles play next week after a very long layoff. He did play doubles late in 2022 in Seoul, but this is his first singles match in quite some time.

Man, Charlie made that look easy. The set scores of 6-3 6-4 are flattering to Tsitsipas, that was complete domination by Charlie.

I'm coming to the realisation that the only thing more boring than three players dominating the game for a generation will be one player doing it.

I guess we will just have to wait and see if other guys will accept the challenge and raise the level of their respective games. I think Holger Rune is right there with Charlie and this could be a very fun rivalry to watch unfold over the next 10-15 years.

The Big 3 era being boring is certainly one of the most opinions in this thread

Oikos is now 0-10 in ATP 500 finals. On the one hand, making 10 ATP 500 finals is a darn good accomplishment. It's not winning any of them that has to stick in his craw.

Boring in the sense that the mystery was gone. Every grand slam went to one of three guys.
The rivalry between the three was pretty fascinating, but the failure of guys like Wawrinka, Del Potro, and more recently Tsitsipas and Zverev to accelerate the changing of the guard made the men's game too predictable. It's pretty sad that a broken down Rafa and one of the least talented players on tour are still dominating.

Rafa has been out of the game since Jan and may not come back, and who is the least talented player that is dominating?

Diallo won his opener in Seoul. Wow that guy is putting on some air miles.

Takes on Christopher Eubanks next - I think Diallo is 6'7" and Eubanks is 6'6", the American has had a breakout 2023.
/Diallo has been really good as well.

Genie is playing a Madrid qualifying match versus Sara Sorribes Tormo. Genie took the opening set 6-1 which is a little surprising since SST is a clay grinder.
