I'm not a fan of the trade or the contract but he has had a good season this year and he's still in prime age. I suppose they are hoping his injury issues are behind him. If they aren't this contract won't age well.

granted, I don't really follow Denver, so I might be wrong - but I thought they'd run a 3-4 base too, no? At least I thought both Chubb and Miller were used as OLBs with an odd front there for years.
Either way, you're paying him to rush the QB, not drop into coverage. Contract seems extremely steep IMO (as was the package they gave up), but who knows. Health is an obvious concern there.

They usually do run a 3-4, part of why he never made sense for them. He’s never been the best pass rusher on the team and is living on draft pedigree. I hope he does flourish in Miami, by all accounts he an amazing locker room guy and leader. He was happy to get out of Denver as he’s always been in someone’s shadow be it Von or Josh Allen’s.
He was never bad or great with Denver mostly solid when he wasn’t injured. Still shocked someone game up a first plus for him

There used to be at least 1 Dolphins fan regular contributor in here (FlickeredFlame?), at its height I feel like we had nearly half the league represented in here. And the entirety of the NFC North, I kinda miss reading the minor tussles that would break out in here with that division haha. Especially when all 4 teams were good.

Yoho is a Dolphins fan. I think theres at least one other one too besides Flickered Flame too. I'm too busy scrutinizing if Tua has a concussion that I don't watch their defence.
AFC East is not getting much press but all 4 teams are competitive this year.

Michael Thomas will have surgery on his toe, going on IR and it sounds like he's not expected to return this season.
I want to move on, but he looked so good in the 3 games he played this year...frustrating situation that never seems to end with him this entire decade so far.

If you’re looking forward to next year start cheering against SF. Local media scuttlebutt is Denver wants to ship that first to you for your former coach. Likely wishful thinking but the richest owner in football could write a hefty cheque should they want to hire someone competent at being a head coach

No problems there, I usually root against SF already haha. Good, because word has heated up recently that there's mutual interest between him and the Chargers as well. And Jerry Jones and the Cowboys will always be a potential landing place for him. Time for a good old fashioned bidding war!

Tonight I learned that there is a penalty for assisting the runner if a teammate pulls the ball carrier forward during the play. I'm not exactly sure what the reasoning behind this penalty is though. A ball carrier can run behind a blocker and a ball carrier can be pushed by teammates to gain more yards so I don't understand why a pull would be illegal.

Those Texans helmets are a thing of beauty. Nicest new helmet I have seen in a while.

Good game alert for TNF. Didn't think I'd get to say that tonight.

Glad the Eagles decided to play their sloppiest game of the year against the worst team in the league. Any other team and they'd be getting run out of the building.
Everything has been bad, including the coaching.

Pretty good game. First time seeing Dameon Pierce. Kid's a beast!

This was an odd spot for the Iggles so it's not that shocking that it was a game for about 37 minutes. Going on the road to a non Conference opponent on a short week where it's the only time anyone will watch the Texans. So that is the type of game where you get the win snd get out of town.

Yeah I've been meaning to ask you how he's been doing (I had to unfollow him on twitter right after the trade as I knew he'd be obnoxious AF towards the Saints haha). I mean I see the interception total especially the past couple weeks, but aside from just that. Curious how it's going for him as a full-time safety overall.
I just know dude wants to majorly get paid this season, curious if the Eagles will give him the top safety money he's looking for. Saints were clearly more wary in that regard, but I miss his antics. There's not a bigger instigator in the league IMO.

Looking like no Tannehill again for the Titans this week. How effective will the Chiefs be at stopping Henry will decide the game.

It was always just his untimely penalties that were his undoing. If he were in control of his emotions he would be a top end nickle cb.
