it would have been interesting if Medvedev had held serve after saving 6 match points.

Sometimes I wonder if he (Monfils) is playing possum at the end of the court when he's doubled over. He certainly seems to be moving okay during actual points.

Rafa is playing about as well today as he did against Korda. The difference here is that I don't see Evans giving away the match like Korda did. Some worrying signs early.

He's certainly not at his best today, let's see if he can turn it around again.

Okay, Evans clearly rattled after dropping the opening set as he frames an overhead way long and Rafa breaks.

Match win #400 at the Masters 1000 level for Rafa as he advances 7-5 6-3 over Dan Evans.

With Medvedev losing today, Rafa has a real shot to finish the year #1. Winning at Indian Wells would be huge for him, but still a long way to go.

Denis takes the opening set in a tie-break over Opelka - Most excitement was when Reilly was getting into it with a fan wearing a t-shirt which I would best describe as a Care Bear playing tennis lol

Shapo down a break in set 3 with Opelka serving at 4-3. Denis has more aces that Reilly in this match, but also 10 double faults. Unacceptable to have this many double faults in a three set match (it's even high for a five set match).

Can't afford to get broken by Opelka because unless your Djokovic or Rafa, you're not going to get that break back.

Nadal vs Opelka is going to be a cracker of a match. Even though the match is in America I think Rafa will be the crowd favorite.

Unfortunate for Shapo, hopefully Miami is nicer to the Canadian men.

I think it will be because it's a faster surface and both Felix and Denis should be rewarded for the hard hitting groundies. Both guys need to fix their serves though as they were coughing up way too many double faults.

Brooksby up a break over Greek Yogurt in the 3rd set.

Edit: Make it a double break.

So in the last 28 hours or so, we've lost Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas, Felix, and Shapo from this tourney. Just crazy.
