Disagree. He missed it. It was a great answer, but it could have been a defining moment and he let it slip away. He should have answered, "I thank Hillary Clinton for her kind comments about my children. I agree, they turned out amazingly well. Even though they may come from different mothers, the common thread is their father and the guidance he provided in them growing into the wonderful well-balanced adults they are. I hope I can provide the same guidance to American to help it grow in a positive way as my children did under my guidance."

Put the candidates in soundproof booths and cut them off when they go over their time limit or try to interrupt. So annoying, especially Trump with his snarky interjections, but Clinton had some empty rhetoric moments as well where she could have ended her statement and thanked the moderator instead.
Or is that just the Canadian in me that abhors rudeness?

Is there any credible information about the sniff? He would not have had a cold that long on the campaign trail, would he? Has to be more than that.

The sniff I think is innocent, I think it's just a pattern for him for preparing his answer, like a "um" or people adjusting their glasses. It's funny but it didn't really distract me.

Words are precious and emphasizing something which a percentage of your supporters plays into a narrative of being unconservative, is a huge no-no.
I know its not the 1950's anymore but especially in the US, where abortion is still a huge political issue, where in large communities, the bible is fact, and while fighting off allegations of thinking sexual assault is funny and you can any woman you want, you don't mention that you've had multiple wives. It doesn't matter if its true. You don't put any emphasis on it. Raising the issue gives you zero help and only will tend to hurt you with a certain percentage of your supporters.
