Pretty terrible reffing. If I am Finland I would feel cheated, and I wouldn't blame them.

The Russians having their suspended coach mic'ed up and communicating with their bench was a clear violation of the terms of the suspension. The IIHF should disqualify the Russian team but they won't. It will be more of a "hey don't do that again" slap on the wrist.

I don't really pay attention to World Championship before. Every year Team Canada doesn't seem to have lots of good players on the team since some of them are still in the playoff while others whom their team got eliminated would rather stay at hom to rest their injuries or spend time with their family. I can't blame them for turning down because they already played long season in the NHL during the season. So basically we have so many second-rate players in our team.

That's not necessarily true, they only had a handful of their better players on the team. Sure Ovechkin was, and Malkin came over for the last few games, but many of their other stars (Datsyuk, Kovalchuk, Radulov) were not there. Canada probably iced a better team overall than the Russians did.

In single game elimination tournaments, you need strong goaltending. Russia had it, Canada didn't

When I saw that, I said they should disqualify the Russians and award gold to the Finns. But there is no way the IIHF has the kahones to do that. Rules were made to be broken...apparently. Whatever. No respect for the obvious F off to the IIHF by the Russian hockey team. And the dives!! Good grief.

The IIHF had the balls to retroactively change the rules in one Olympics so with our amateur squad's third place finish, we didn't get the bronze medal. The IIHF is crap and always has been.

Well there's a difference between not liking something or someone because of say, "the cut of their jib" and not liking something or someone because they've gone out of their way to screw you.

watching the Russians celebrate like they won the gold medal in hockey after winning a 3rd rate hockey tournament is almost embarrassing for me just as a hockey fan. The forced glee and picture with putin celebrating like they accomplished a great thing seems so manufactured and forced. Congrats, you won an annual tournament that's on par with the Ivan Hlinka
