I'd call Gordie Howe a superstar. He was a guy players feared because he could dominate a game and then beat up your toughest player.

(Jesus was/is a superstar and has a musical to prove it.)

I don't why it bugs me so much but I am so freaking tired of the word "Stint".

Loving Baertschi though. Can't wait to see what this guy can do at a pro level with Pro linemates

I went through a stint of hating that word "stint" too. I'm over that stint now though.

Brodeur?

Roy was and still is incredibly overrated. Too bad the regulations on goaltending equipment size wasn't more strict back then.

The only goalie I can think of better than Roy is the goalie Sven would have been had he not played forward.

Sure mate,

I grew up watching Roy and his oversized equipment won a lot of games. Not to mention playing in front of the best defense in Montreal for years and in front of a stacked Avalanche team. The only time Roy actually won with a poor team was in '03. Go take a look at the size of his equipment in '03. I've seen Roy in person, he's a string bean.

As am I, so save the sarcastic "sure mate" BS.

Brodeur better that Roy all time in Wins, GAA and Save percentage.

Bartschi isn't the savior but he sure does create a light at the end of this long dark tunnel the flames have been in for a few years. I'm calling future captain for this guy.

Hey, shut it.
and how many of his wins have resulted from the Shootout/OT? and Roy only played 60ish games a season compared to Brodeur, so he got the wins in less games.

Easy internet tough guy.

What's your excuse for save percentage and GAA?

Also......

Roy has 551 wins in 1029 games (53.5 percent)

Brodeur has 656 wins in 1191 games (55 percent)

Try again.

Well I wasn't being sarcastic, so the response was uncalled for.

Brodeur could have 900 wins, and Roy 500.. And i'd still say Roy's better. Combination of my Love for Roy and dislike for Brodeur.
