Don't forget the 4,500 tech start-ups that were created from 2021-2023. Not all will succeed, but that ecosystem does more to drive the entire US economy than most sectors. With what's going on in AI, there's more talent in Silicon Valley than anywhere else in the world.
So while the accountants like to move established companies out of California for tax reasons, the next-gen creation happens there more than anywhere in the world, despite what Austin, Miami, Boulder and others try to say about it.

I think Biden can pick out the elephant in the picture if it’s anything like the last test that Trump “took”

Don’t underestimate how much name recognition plays into American elections. That’s one of the reasons we see dynasties and celebrities in American politics - if even 50 per cent of Americans have already heard of you before you run, it’s a huge boost. I don’t know what the name recognition numbers are for the Democrats people are throwing around, but I’d be surprised if any of them besides Harris are much higher than 20 or 25 per cent nationally.
That’s also why election campaigns are so long in the U.S. The huge population of unengaged citizens in the U.S. need to be beat over the head again and again and again with a candidate’s name and message to rouse them off the couch and put a check beside the name.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. But subbing in a new candidate this late in the game is a hail mary call.

Now we might finally see some change. Biden and his supporters don't care about the constituents or the country, but the oligarchy is something they can't ignore

The conditions that created those startups existed well before Newsom was involved. California has a HUGE advantage with their post secondary system, venture capital system, and startup incubation.
If that starts to shrivel, then they've got a problem. Until then, success as a Governor is "don't #### it up".

Jon Stewart would be a great candidate if the American electorate were made up entirely of white college graduates. Not sure how appealing (or even known) he is to the other 75 per cent of Americans.

Joe just has to walk out there and say something like:
I have no issues running this country, but all everyone is talking about is my health. We all get older and I’m not as sharp as I once was, nobody is whether they are <Trumps age> or older. It has become a distraction, and preventing people from talking about the real issues and threats to the country <outline them in bullet points>. For that reason, I have decided to withdraw my candidacy and won’t seek a second term. The younger generations are going to be the ones to protect our freedoms, and I feel it’s time they get a chance.
He can them wrap himself in the flag, everyone will go back to talking about his great legacy, and the Retrumplicans will have lost their easiest and best talking point. Now the spotlight can shift to their dottering old leader.

Like all politicians, one thing that Joe has in common with Donald is the addiction of power. He won't leave easily, any more then Trump.

At this point they might as well turn the race into a TV Game Show. Or better yet an Academic Decathlon! Golf match, cognitive test, egg in a spoon race, chemistry, acting a soliloquy, baking, musical performance, hungry hungry hippos, choose your own talent, and of course the swim suit competition

Trump will flunk out on the topic business ethics and got shot by a crazed Steve Buscemi. Then Biden will step down and hand over the Presidency to someone better fitted to the role... Sounds like a happy ending to me.

Looks like Musk is following in the hallowed footsteps of fellow #### eaters Chris Christie, Lindsay Graham, Ted Cruise, and many others who, after Trump takes giant dumps in their mouths, decides to bite down, chew, and swallow.
Quote:
Billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk found himself under fire on his own app, X, after reports surfaced Friday that he donated to a super Pac working to elect former President Donald Trump — a candidate who just this week asked MAGA supporters, "Who wants to drive an electric car for the rest of your life?"
Musk, the world's wealthiest man worth an estimated $263.6 billion, donated to America PAC, anonymous sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. It wasn't immediately known how much he donated, but it was described as a sizable amount.

Nothing says a report is of high objectivity and quality as when it uses the word "strangle' in its survey of respondents.

I'm actually surprised that no one in the crowd had guns and started shooting back.
