has anyone tried the "slacker radio" app

my buddy showed it to me - the free version is pretty cool - sorta like satellite radio - pick your genre and listen away. with the free version you can skip up to 6 songs/hour

Downloaded Tiny Wings ... Probably should have waited until after work. Great game!

Has anybody played NHL 2k11 on the ipod? Wondering how it is. Reviews in the store were mixed. The controls sound like they're lacking. Are they so bad it's unplayable?

I played it once and never went back, but I hate the virtual joystick with a wild passion.

I also recommend Tiny Wings, although it can get frustrating at times.

I'm assuming your frustration comes from having issues hitting the ground nicely at high speeds? I've started tapping the screen more often to set my trajectory better, rather than letting it just curve on it's own. When you're going really fast it can help you set up for a quick dive into a good curve. That was always my biggest problem.

Tiny Wings is the first game that's addicted me in a while. Can't make it past island 7 yet.

The ultimate "just one more game" game I've played lately.

I've always liked these games that take one simple game mechanic and do it really well

Still having issues getting past 6.

Although I think this game may be the death of my iPod. For some reason my thumb thinks that the harder it pushes on the screen, the faster my bird will go...

I posted this in the deals thread as well, but figured it would be good to dump it here too.

You do not need to be a Rogers cust to order either.
Very hot deal for iPhone 4 owners. Griffin Carbon look case, 3 screen protectors, and bluetooth headset for 20 + gst. Free shipping too from rogers. I have the screen protectors and case already, and paid about $50 for them at a rogers store. The case is very robust.

Jerk!

Thanks, I dumped 10 bucks on games..lol.

Nova 2 HD for iPad for .99 is ridiculous. I downloaded 6 iPad games and 4 iPhone games. The best of the bunch besides Nova, is Driver for iPhone. Man does that game bring back memories. Pretty accurate port of it too. Unfortunately, they tamed the ######ed physucs a bit, which what was one of the most appealing elements of the PS version. I used to love hitting a light pole then getting launched into low orbit.

For those that enjoyed Game Dev Story, check out Hot Springs Story. Very similar game, but has more of a SimTower feel.

Must not be selling well if they said they would never discount it.

Yeah, I was going to look into that game as well - backlog is kinda big, might wait for a bit.

As for Infinity Blade, I haven't gotten deeply into it but seems like it was doing fairly well:
