there were rumours last week that the Steelers were looking for a 2nd ... didn't think they could get one, but here it is. Hard to pass on that offer.

it is. Still great value for the Steelers IMO ... Claypool was solid these past few weeks, but in the current situation I prefer a 2nd. More targets for George Pickens isn't a bad thing either.

EDIT: lol, looks like that's incorrect. Rapoport says it's the Bears 2nd.

Amazing trade for the Broncos. A 1st round pick for one of the more overrated players in the league IMO. He had double digit sacks just once in his rookie season and since then he's been pretty pedestrian living off his draft lineage.

It's probably a decent gamble for the Jags

Falcons likely get a 1st for Ridley last year prior to the suspension.

Not often a WR goes to Chicago and their QB situation actually improves

Former Kansas City Chiefs assistant coach Britt Reid was sentenced on Tuesday to three years in prison for driving drunk, speeding and hitting two parked cars last year, leaving a 5-year-old girl with a serious brain injury.

Reid pleaded guilty in September to driving while intoxicated, causing serious bodily injury. The charge carries a maximum penalty of seven years in prison, but prosecutors had agreed to ask for a maximum sentence of four years in prison. Reid sought probation.

Circuit Judge Charles H. McKenzie sentenced Reid Tuesday and he was set to be taken into custody.

Prosecutors said Reid, the son of Chiefs coach Andy Reid, was intoxicated and driving about 84 mph in a 65 mph zone when his Dodge truck hit the cars on an entrance ramp to Interstate 435 near Arrowhead Stadium on Feb. 4, 2021.

Not nearly enough after leaving a 5 year old with a lifetime of brain injury. Eveb the 7 year max seems about 10 years too light

Because they would get a lot more years.

It's white privilege. He's pointing out Reid got off lightly because white privilege.

ok.... thats likely true but it certainly doesn't belong in the NFL thread. This is about a former NFL coach and son of a current NFL coach.

There is an entire forum subsection for discussion on the other stuff....no?

Not everything written must be politicized....though i understand that there is a lot of crossover when it comes to the shield.

Do dolphins fans exist here? I suspect they may not love that Chubb contract sooner rather than later. He’s decent but he’s made of papier-mâché and is a 4-3 DE. Don’t they run a 3-4? He’s monstrously sized to be anything but a hand in the grass rusher.
