I seriously doubt that.
And to be truthful, I don't think Darryl would put up with GG's efforts anymore than he would any Flames efforts.

I always thought firing Keenan was a knee-jerk reaction at the time and wasn’t the right move.

Glen needs to drop his M.O. of trying to let his slumping players play more to break themselves free of it.
Didn't work well with Chiasson last year, nor Bennett, Wideman, Brodie or Brouwer. Has he had a single success story from trying to let his players play themselves out of a funk rather than ride the pine or the pressbox?

The need for better coaching is seriously getting into the fire the GM realm at this point. I seriously don't see how people are still defending GG. Not one player has improved under his system, but a whole lot of them have regressed. If BT insists on keeping his man, then he can go too.

Lol, the "Fire GG" crowd are making things up now? Come on.
We're all upset after last night and a lot of it at GG, but no need to be parroting untruths onto everyone else just because it fits your narrative.

That was, by far, the most entertaining Flames hockey I've ever seen.

I must be remembering a different Keenan then because I remember a whole lot of river hockey and a bunch of frustrating 9-8 or 7-6 losses. And that was with Kiprusoff between the pipes.
I was not sad to see him go at all, it's just too bad they followed him up with Brent effin' Sutter who was even worse.

I totally forgot Keenan got let go after a 46 win season and wasn't given a chance one more year since the team was full of injuries.

After sleeping on this and trying to calm down, im still pissed. Please fire gg and hire sutter before someone else does. This team needs a good coach in the worst possible way

????? to the bolded part. I guess Johnny Hockey, Monahan, Backlund, Frolik have had the worst stats ever in the last 2 years. He also really screwed up Tkchucks game coming from juniors.

It wasn't the best defensively sure, but it did finish the season rank 15th, and goals for rank 16th. So it rounded out to average results.

The entire top 6 is on pace to shatter their career highs minus just Frolik I believe. The lack of bottom 6 scoring, special teams and individual defensive gaffs are the main perpetrators for this team’s current underwhelming record. Personally, I don’t think any of these things really Glen Gulutzan’s fault.
The bottom 6 plays more than enough minutes, so lack of playing time isn’t the issue for their poor play, special teams are the assistant coaches’ problems and that PK by the way is still garbage in my opinion. Looked like crap against the Leafs and just as bad against the oilers last night and in general is 30th in the league for a reason. The individual turnovers, boneheaded plays and stupid penalties are all on the players. Gulutzan doesn’t tell these guys to do these things, the players do. Especially certain individuals who continue to screw up on a regular basis.

He likes hard/tough to play against players who grind it out. This club could not be further from that in their make up. Guys like Hamilton and Bennett would end up watching from the press box at times under Darryl. Hmmm...maybe that isnt a bad thing.
Just don't see the fit between the two myself.
|
Did you know good coaches can change there system ? I think Bennett would thrive under Darryl. Anything would be better than GG right now.

Our Jessica Fletcher

We're 9-11 in regulation, and 5-1 in OT/SO...
...No 3v3 or shootouts in the playoffs, if we even get there.

Come on folks.
Let's wait until the end of the week, after we've gone through the Leafs and Habs barns and gotten blown out in both, to call for GG's head again. It'll be just like last year, except with a plane ride instead of a train ride!

Honestly, I'm sick and tired of average being the bar to clear with this team.
