Wicked Wedge was not good pizza. The times were good around it, but the pizza was terrible. Come on.

You could be right. Had it when it moved to Chinook centre, it was foccacia bread with topping, not sure it changed or I wasn't hammered eating it.

The key was never consuming it sober. Bread with grease on top tastes much better drunk.

This is correct.

Foolishly I once went to Stardust Pizza, one place that was next to 3 Cheers, mid-week to grab something for dinner.

Good God it was horrible when sober.

Full transparency, I still bought it at 3am that Sunday morning.

Eh? It was perfectly good pizza.

They actually got kicked out of Chinook Centre because CF wanted something else there. Landlords lol.

By the standards of time - before wood stoves and thin crust became ubiquitous - Wicked Wedge was fine. It was certainly better than the nearby alternatives on 17th, like Pizza 73 and Boston Pizza.

Nah, Wicked Wedge was bad. They didn't invent good crust in the 2020's.

That's what the honey was for and hot sauce and chilies.

Terrible pizza is abounds in this city and I've eaten it all.

Honorable mention to A Pizza Plus, may as well call it Schitting Blood the Next Day Pizza Factory.

Poco Loco. Good golly, even bad when drunk.

73, that pizza is something else. I heard you can get punjabi style sauce which makes it better but I've never had the courage. The wings are definitely serviceable.

Standards for pizza, and many other foods, were definitely lower pre 2012ish. Even many of the big chains had to revamp their menus to stay afloat.

Could not stand her on Definitely Not The Opera. She made every story about herself.

But The Wedge was great.

Pizza 73 is proof that there is such a thing as inedible pizza. I always thought even bad pizza is still pretty good until I ate Pizza 73.

Bring on the hate but I do love me a Spicy Perogy pizza from Boston Pizza a few times a year. I think we’ve placed the exact same order every time we’ve gone for the last two decades, a Perogy and a Great White North. Say what you will about the rest of the menu and I won’t argue but those two pizzas are good eats!

The BP Perogy pizza is good.

No lie.

It was my go to when we were traveling around Alberta for hockey with the kids.

The rest of the menu is meh to gross.

The tropical chicken as well. It should be copied everywhere, but it isn't for some stupid reason.

For anybody down in the south, I had Pizza 64 over the weekend (Shawnessy). It wasn't world changing or anything, but as far as greek/East Indian style, it was more than solid. Great option when you don't want one of the chains and Sammy's is too busy.
