I’d have gone to Swanson here.

Springer was incredibly unlucky again. That ball had an XBA of .600 and of course right at the fielder. Funny thing is if Biggio gets the bunt down the fielder is taken out of double play depth and that ball gets by.
Now the Yanks are getting incredibly lucky with their BABIP. Baseball sucks sometimes haha.

Haha and another groundball in a perfect spot for the Yanks. If that ball is a foot to the right that's a home to 1st double play.

I thought Espinal would get it together this year but so far it's clear him, Biggio or Belt are mediocre at best.

Schneider clearly learned his bullpen utilization from Montoyo. That was terrible.

Bullpen still pretty bad, at least the starters have been figuring it out. Set up and closer came in and stunk it up. Manoah was great

No, but they’ve made the decision to remove their instincts from any crucial moment of the game.
They’ve done this because they’ve realized “it’s what the analytics say” is a bulletproof defense, even when it costs you a World Series like it did for Tampa.

Well at least on the bright side Manoah was solid which means that's almost one time through the rotation with quality starts against really good teams. Just need a good start from Gausman tomorrow to make it 5 in a row.

That's two of the last three ass Schneider pulled the starter with way under 100 pitches while they were cruising.
I cam see doing that if you have a bullpen that nails #### down, but our bullpen is way too leaky to be doing that lol

I thought it was a smart move personally. There were a couple contact popups but nothing too alarming. I though Pop or Swanson were better choices there but not great as they don't have that special someone.
