Beliveau with his debut. Hopefully he can be a better lefty option than Howell has been.

Frustrating for sure. Seems like an elusive target at the moment.

It's a long long season kids and their direction is positive not to mention the rest of the division is nice enough to stay within striking distance...

I don't know how anyone can live in the EST time zone and are able to watch / listen to any West Coast games. Even I turned off the game around the 7th inning, and it's only an hour difference here. I couldn't imagine starting a game at 10:00pm.

Apparently this week is the last week of late weeknight starts (don't count Friday or Saturday), so that's nice.

It is definitely difficult, if not impossible. Fortunately there are so many baseball games that if we miss one or two games/series then there is still a lot to enjoy.

Staying up late for the Flames/Ducks was brutal though. Worst combination of late nights, adrenaline, and snacks/beverages. Very low productive work days followed.

The majority of Flames games start at 9:00PM or later for us too. It's just something that you get used to. That being said, I made it til about the 7th as well, and I work from home a lot so I can sleep in a little.

Travis to the DL, but not for the reason you'd think...

Blue Jays place Travis on DL with knee injury (via http://thesco.re/theScore_App ) https://www.thescore.com/news/1303686

I would take barney over Goins as the extra infielder, and wouldn't be surprised if when Pearce is healthy we see a tough decision on Goins.

As for Martin being out, maile is a pretty solid gamecaller. I'm curious to see how he handles liriano.

Edit: apparently I was reading three pages back and thought that it was today. Ignore me.

Such a bandaid. As I said yesterday, would
Like to get something for him when his price is high. He's the Martin Havlat of MLB. Has all the tools, always injured and you can't count on him to be ready for the games that matter.

Goins gamble fails massively trying to go 2nd to home on an infield single by JD.

Why blame it on Goins? His back would have been to the play - that is on the 3rd base coach.
