I think that's probably true. I also still don't understand why it matters. Sportscasters aren't allowed to also be fans?
My enjoyment of the game is not such a delicate flower that it's ruined by a broadcaster liking a different team than I do.
But I've made the same comment in the Jim Hughson context, and it fell on deaf ears then too.

Lost in all the Canuck hate, this has been a pretty damn good game from a neutral perspective.
I do a produced feature recapping all the night's action, so for my sake, I hope this ends soon. Do not want a marathon.

Peter Maher was brought up in conversation, I gave an opinion. I wasn't ripping anyone who liked his call. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I'm not allowed to disagree with it?

And who is ripping you for liking the call of Ray Ferraro? Nobody is yet you called people "sensitive sports fans".
It's people's opinion that Ray Ferarro is a Canuck homer, why call them out? Personally I don't think he's a Canuck homer but who cares if people do?

I'm ok with the radio guys being somewhat homerish. They work for the team.
