More than half of the general assembly didn't vote "yes".
https://digitallibrary.un.org/record/4076672?ln=en
93 - Yes
18 - No
65 - Abstained
17 - Did not enter a vote
I don't check every UN voting result, but I check once in a while when it is a topic I am interested in, and I don't recall there being so many vocally abstained, at least recently. From what I have seen, once in a blue moon you see it between 20-40, but it is typically in single digits.
The second resolution had even more abstained votes.

93 - Yes
8 - No
73 - Abstained
19 - Did not enter a vote

Unforgivable as well. The world knows the US cannot be counted on for anything.

Do we suppose Trump is starting to realize he’s a global laughing stock and his power to push his weight around is diminishing?

His power will diminish when either Congress gets off their complicit ass and performs actual checks and balances that Americans love to brag about so much, or he dies. Hopefully the latter sooner than later.

This should be the new motto for the world “you can’t trust the USA”.

I assume the first resolution was about whether pineapple on pizza should be allowed, and the second was whether abstaining to vote makes you cool.

Looks like a security for minerals deal is coming this week. Interested to see the details. Feelings for Trump aside if its a fair deal and saves Ukraine than full marks.
I hope this honestly ends the war, and Ukraine can get to healing in peace

I'm not a fan of holding Ukraine hostage for their minerals. But if they get their land back and it ends the War, at least the People of Ukraine can have some peace.
Tough to see how Trump just makes Russia leave by snapping his fingers.

Supposedly the EU had a deal on the table, now the US swoops in? Hard to know exactly what is happening. I will believe what is the actual deal when Zelensky himself speaks to it and the details. Not going to believe a word out of Trump or the US administration's mouths. Zelensky only.

Depends on the deal. I am not opposed if it’s something fair that is a way for them to gain the firepower they need and the security.
We need to keep in mind this is how these deals go. Biden would have sunk his claws in quietly during a “reconstruction” phase. American companies go in and buy up the minerals, and set up shop. Its how America got to where it is post WWII.
Trump just has no tact and loves a show. He is doing the quiet parts loud. If that gets Russia to leave whatever.

Unlike the other side Ukraine has shown to be smart and very tough. I hope this all works in their favor.

Could be!
I think it's a sign that a lot of countries are afraid to vote against U.S., but they also don't want to support Russia. The U.S.'s threatening disposition lately is probably going to have a huge effect on how the UN general assembly operates.
