That is not the way it reads at all. The first line he wrote indicates the player moving on and others as well.

I would do that trade in a microsecond. Arizona wouldn't. The cap has to work too. Arizona could probably flip some of our guys that have salary for more assets. Add Toffoli and Tanev to that trade and they might bite. On a better team Keller is a star player imo.

I don't disagree with that sentiment however in some cases when it involves a 24 year old player who's been PPG for the last 2 seasons you have to take a look at that. You trade a first for a player you hope plays at least 10 seasons for your franchise you get your value for that pick.

Also just looked and he has a great cap hit for the next 5 seasons. Would not be opposed to Clayton Keller at all.

Keller could very well be the flavour of the month. Has speed, quickness, good hands but in limited action is a real hit or miss on hockey smarts at times. I have no doubt he's good, but to the degree some make him out to be, I don't think so. Giving up 1sts and a bunch of players for him? Naa, that's franchise player volume. I'd rather the rebuild.
