Really liking the speed of the device, man if the new iPhone has the same processor as this thing it'll be awesome.
Some cool apps, though BOO for releasing Civilization Revolutions as a completely different game for the iPad so you have to buy it separately! A number of my apps have universal versions that run very well on the iPad.

To my great surprise lots were available at the Future Shop on Northland Drive, which I happened to be driving by, at lunch.
Picked up 2 32gb 3g's, one for me and one for a friend.
This is a very cool device, and the pdf support is awesome (with a purchased app).

Hey guys, sorry for the confusion this morning. A buddy from Telus texted me that plan, and then texted me 30mins later to tell me the mistake.
I haven't had a chance to get back to a computer until now. I haven't read this thread since, but I'm sure someone here has pointed out that it's actually 500MB for $20, instead of 250 for 20.
Anyway, sorry again. I got the info, posted it and then ran out the door.

Futureshop in shawnessy only has 3G's left. Ending up going to london drugs on 130th and picking up the 32GB WiFi. It was a bigger size than I orginally wanted, but it's not like it will go to waste, at least that is what I will tell myself.
First impressions are pretty good so far. The screen is much nicer than I thought it would be. Very clear and bright. Everyone has been saying they are heavier then you think so I expected that. Even though everyone said the device was snappy, I was still pleasantly surprised how quickly it does everything. It is really a treat to use it. Haven't used the keyboard that much yet, but it seems not too bad. Will have to get use to it. (Using it to type this)
Got the Air Video app and it's great. Unfortunately it doesn't work with DRM stuff. Apple really needs an Apple TV app for this thing. Will report back once i use it more.

I think 32GB is a good size, I find 8GB on my phone quite restrictive now and this will take bigger media and more apps and likely less desire to constantly swap stuff on and off.
Mind you there'll be a lot less music on it.

I'd heard so many negative things about how native iphone apps look on it I was pretty cautious, but I'm really impressed with how some look. Some are worse than others, but several that I tried don't look that bad at all. Big Buck Hunter actually looks quite strong.

As for iPhone apps looking nice on the iPad, I have to agree.... I've played Final Fantasy on both and it looks absolutely fantastic on the iPad.
Then again I absolutely loved the game when it looked like this:
instead of this:
BTW - does anyone know how to steal? It's kinda stupid having a thief if he can't steal stuff.....
Edit: I found out that you CAN'T steal in FF1, only FF3 and above.... how disappointing. I guess I forgot that.

For those of you considering a 16 gig iPad, consider this - Wired Magazine and X-Plane iPad edition alone consume 1 gig.

Was anyone at the Market Mall debut? I ended up swinging by while I was working and couldn't stop laughing when all the employees came out. I love you apple products but your bizarre opening made me laugh.

The applause and cheering is so lame, my god I hate the pretentiousness of Apple fanboys.
Went by the West Hills Best Buy about 10 minutes before ten and their was about 7 people waiting, surprised me.

It also was stunning how many staff they had working. I swear there must have been 75-100 all in there blue shirts. I'll atleast tip my hat to them for that...they seemed to have things pretty organized.

Yes because I'm sure it was all the employees ideas
On the upside ... restore successful and jailbreak active.

Took 4 tries to activate on Rogers, but it's working now. Speed is good. This is my first 3g device.
I like the people twittering that they are as high as a Rogers iPad bill...
