Mboko is back on her game now, after a nervous first set.

If I'm Bouzkova, I'm targeting the forehand because the Mboko backhand is en fuego.

Victoria victorious yet again winning 1-6 6-3 6-0. Amazing recovery after a nervous first set, Bouzkova was hampered in set 3, but I don't think the injury came into play all that much with how Mboko played.
It sets up the Gauff - Mboko match in round 4. Get your popcorn ready.

Her physicality, particularly at 18, is remarkable.
She is already a fully formed beast.
Please Tennis Canada/management team - don't let her/us down.

Gabriel and Taylor are warming up as I type. This is going to be a tough one for Gabe, Fritz has turned himself into an excellent player.

Of course, when you hit two double faults and two wild forehands to get broken at love, that doesn't help either.

Yikes, the forehand was wonky for Gabe tonight. Oh well, all eyes turn to Victoria.

How about a breadstick delivered to Coco in under 30 minutes? Great start for Victoria!!

Big hold just now by Victoria saving three break points, Coco is playing much better here in set 2.

Victoria!! Great win over Coco 6-1 6-4. Coco was far from her best, but Mboko saved break points when she needed to keep the match from turning to Coco's favor.

Victoria now up to #55 in the live rankings - Her qualifying days for slams are in the rear view mirror.

Iga loses to Clara Tauson in straight sets - That's on the other side of the draw from Victoria who will next face Jessica Bouzas Maneiro who is a 22 year old Spaniard that is having a breakout season of her own.

We had some beef at the end of the Shelton - Cobolli match in Toronto earlier this evening.

Reading today that Novak has withdrawn from the Cincy tourney. No tennis for Djoker between the end of Wimbledon and the US Open doesn't sound like ideal preparation.

We dont like Zverev but I thought his interview with the guys on Nothing Major was very good.
He knows he loses because he's too cowardly but he can't resolve it.
