The Forge gameplan? they may as well have faxed it to him in advance as obvious as it was and he falls for it, over and over again.
I don’t disagree with that. He subbed off the best player on the field in a 1-1 game.

But our goals dried up. And Carducci needs to save the corner. And probably the other one. He crumbles in the postseason as we’ve seen in years past.

I don’t think so. I think our bench just isn’t as strong as theirs. They have the luxury of bringing on guys like Borges and Choniere while we pressed as long as possible with the original line up. I thought Cavalry played better while we didn’t make those subs and created more opportunities. We just didn’t have the horses though.

Scoring on a corner is not a banger. It's a GK mistake. I'd argue the first Forge goal should have been saved too.

Tommy has to keep his composure when they scored. That ball goes in and he's celebrating with the players instead of making sure they are set up to win the game. Never looked good after scoring.

The idiot calling it the greatest goal in league history really showed the broadcast for what it was.

A lovely touch though, was the photo person from the league giving Borges a big hug after that goal.

Why couldn’t they try and possess the ball to kill off time? They just immediately turtled and let Forge impose their will for the first time all game. Show some composure in the moment guys.

I vote Locke for manager

You have no idea how hilarious that would be. But I'm not saying about it. PM me.

Other than subbing Musse, I don’t really see much of a reason to criticize Tommy.
We created more chances and controlled the game well. In the end Henry came up with a couple huge saves and Carducci let in two shots from distance. The first one is tough, but he has to have the catch on the corner.

We lost two playoff games to Forge by one goal, and Carducci has a mistake for a goal in both games. That’s your difference right there. And unfortunately for Carducci he hasn’t earned the benefit of the doubt form past playoff games either.

Musse had to be injured right? There's no other way you can sub him. He was limping earlier.

That's never a yellow on Trafford.
Agree that wasn't a yellow but then later Trafford got away with one when he stepped into Borges' chest.

Meh. All three goals were exciting and fun IMO, which is the point. Carducci's decision-making on the last one though for sure is questionable.

The panel said he picked up a knock. I'm sure there will still be debate over whether he could have stayed on. I would be shocked if it wasn't an injury sub. Akio would have been the obvious player to come off. He wasn't nearly as effective as Musse and Musse is also better defending.

I know we're all emotional after a game like this but I really don't get this.

What specifically do you think Tommy should have done differently when it comes to tactics or personnel?

I hate forge so effing much. That was gutting to watch. The gleeful homerism of the game calling just made it worse. CPL doesn’t even try to hide the bias, they just outright promote forge.

Yeah just misplayed by Carducci, full stop. 1st one was a bit of a fluke as it was meant as a far post cross but he still had the wrong angle and no need to be so far off his line when the ball is that far out with a full box.

Second one was worse by him, but more intentional from Forge who obviously saw that as a weakness.

Cavs had the run of play and better chances and likely deserved better. Should've been 1 or 2 nil at 90mins but some good saves by Forge's keeper.

Commentary over the top but was also for Cavalry's goal, so a bit of the pass. If it was Wheeler it would've been 10x worse and Cavs goal was a fluke and Forge goals were better than anything seen in the WC..
